FOOD LIST
Nows the time to start listing those extra items needed for xmas
mincemeat bought in the sale at Mr T's in Apr at a massive reduction and long BBD
Cranberry sauce in freezer
Need to think about what else is needed for this year's big day as I will be preparing the meal. Will start to get things in around Sept time and also buy the veg approx 1 week in advance
Also will make a list of what I need for a Christmas Cake thanks to everyone for their recipes, I've been inspired to give it a go in a couple of weeks time
Can you use whisky or rum for the cake? Which would be better do you think, I have a ton of both. I think whisky might be better with fruit or shall I buy a little bottle of brandy instead?
Congratulations with the cupboards you've certainly been busy, and all the oranisatio.
I'm being brave and going to atttempt to make a xmas cake, last few years brought them from a bakery in Devon, have to admit they are lush, so we just do the alcohol soaking!!
For the alcohol, I go by the use what ever is to hand, mix and match, chuck the lot in, when we bake cakes we use to keep a plastic bottle and put the dregs in it, then by xmas theres a gd mix, never poisoned anyone.... (only joking!!) xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

These would be a great little stocking filler for the littles one and would cost nothing, as your using up all those broken never used pieces at the bottom of the tub, put togeter with a printed activity book its a money nuetral thrifty gift....
These recycled crayon cupcakes are great to make for little fingers who struggle to hold little crayons.
Drawing time is a rainbow of colors as your child runs them across the paper releasing all the mixed colors.
You can use inexpensive whole crayons or recycle all those broken pieces in the bottom of the toy box.
This crayon cupcake project is great for schools and groups to recycle their broken pieces.
Preheat the oven to 250 deg F
Remove the paper wrappers from the crayons and put the crayons into a cupcake cup and place the cup cake into a cupcake or muffin tray for support.
Allow them to melt in the oven, melting time may vary depending on your crayons brand so make sure you watch the crayons and once melted take them out.
Allow them to cool before touching.
Peel off the cupcake paper and use as normal.
