    evening all

i have spent far too long this evening scouring the web and the MSE site looking for gift ideas for DH. It is his birthday next month and then xmas to think about. We have been together for 16 years and so have bought each other every type of xmas and birthday/anniversary gift imaginable.

after looking on MSE it seems buying our DH's, boyfriends, male relations is always a tricky problem. anyone got any fab fool proof ideas.

My DH is very sporty but i really think i have exhausted all avenues there! Golf and football are his main hobbies (but he has lots of the stuff for this) he has an ipod so music is out and he gets any games or borrows them for xbox so am totally out of ideas.

    help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i usually spend about 25 birthday and up to 50 christmas

he's not really a film watcher and unfotunatley for me any massage oils etc would be unappreciated. i have gotten him wines and cheeses in the past as he likes both and was thinking of doing the 24 different beers advent calendar this year. he really is awkward to buy for....but very lovely all the same!

im sure we have all got one like this in the family? its really difficult trying to think of something thoughtful yet different each year

    thanks for thinking

*PHEW* I have just finally caught up with all of the threads I missed due to my move to sunny Alloa - you guys have been extremely busy!

I gave up on using the library Internet after a couple of days as there was a one hour per day limit  I mean really! How can a geek like myself be expected to use the Internet for a mere hour

Got my play.com sale stuff delivered last week. I'm so proud that it's August and I've already got some presents :D This year I will be organised!

Lucy-Lu - I've not got children and I'm not pregnant (as much as my husband wishes otherwise - he's desperate to have a baby - however I'm just too busy right now!)

    Xmas Saver!
    Hello one + All!!

I cannot believe I have just found you! I am an organisation fanatic (with everything not just christmas!!) and am always looking for ways to be more organised and stick at it!!

Anywho, I have gone out and brought a folder, dividers, lined hole punched paper, and a septerate notepad, I have put on the dividers these headings:

    Christmas Presents to buy/make
    Christmas presents brought
Christmas presents received 2009 (for thankyou cards)

    Christmas card list
    Christmas card received (2009)

    Christmas Recipies

    Homemade Gifts

Is there anything else I am missing? I would quite like to do the grand holiday plan from organised christmas, but not sure what I need to be printing out etc, and also would I need a seperate folder for this??

I am joining in with some of the challenges too + will be writing out my christmas card list + getting the adresses together tonight, and then I will start buying stamps, I use 2nd class and just post a few days earlier!

I brought loads of stuff in the Boots + ASDA sale after 2008 christmas, so I really need to sit down and see whats for who and who I have left to buy for!!

I already have 1 complete pamper hamper for my aunty which I just need to wrap with cellophane, and am in the process of making up a French + Indian food hamper for my godparents!

Any other ideas tips would be great, I have read up to page 30 something, but gave uup as i wanted to get involved LOL!!

    Happy Planning!!:j

Hi Fallen Angel, love the name.
You've done well to get to page 30, if its anyhelp, on page 1, the 1st 3 posts have links in for Santas challenges, which are realised on the 24th of each, and links to the mini challenges.

Re - the folder, I've put a few suggestions, (folders link), as maybe to use headings, they may give you a head start.

The organised xmas plan, I think of that as a pick and mix, some you like, some you don't.
Its really a site where you need to grab a couple of hrs peace + quiet, and see what you like.

Done well with the organisation so far, love the idea of the hampers, ur have to share the secrets. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Oh I love this thread! (though I'm still making my way through it). I'm afraid I fell by the wayside after last Christmas with money-neutral and the Rudolph Club but I do have my Organised Christmas folder and I got loads of pressies in the sales so I am feeling a 'bit' organised. However, now I have found you lovely ladies again I am going to be making a big effort to get started for real on Xmas 2009!

I just love that there are people like me who love doing this - does anyone have someone they can talk to about their love for getting organised? My friends all run a mile if I even mention Christmas!

    Love
