I order stuff from Amazon a few times a week. Be it dog food, tools or our last TV. Prime is great and well worth it I think. It's just annoying when a marketplace merchant can't offer it.
I don't really get how stupid people can be to sign up to something without reading what its about and they then b!tch about charges on their account. LOL .. Duh!0 -
Not really a "prime" related post (although the goods in question were delivered this way), just a comment on Amazon customer service. I decided to just add it on here rather than start a new thread.
A few weeks ago I ordered a couple of large bags of woodchip cat litter (of a type I have bought many times previously).
I opened these bags last Friday and discovered that instead of the normal pellets of litter, the contents were very small and powdery and it looked like they had been crushed.
I contacted Amazon via e-mail to ask if the manufacturer of this product had changed it as it was nothing like it used to be, and I received a reply the following morning stating that they were not aware of any change. They also refunded me in full for both bags and told me that there was no need to return them, despite me not even mentioning a refund in the original e-mail.0 -
Amazon CS are amazing and I have nothing but praise for them! I once ordered a case of 200g carte noire coffee jars and on arrival one had been smashed and they refunded they entire order and told me to keep the rest!
And more recently I'd cancelled a S&S item but they still sent it out. A quick email had them refunding the cost and told me to keep the items when the arrived.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I couldn't agree more.
People say that large online retailers are responsible for killing the high street shops. This may well be true but I don't think that it's all down to price.
If Amazon were the same price, or even slightly more expensive than Currys, PC World etc, I would still pay the extra money and wait the extra day or two for delivery knowing that I would be buying from somewhere that knows the meaning of good customer service.0 -
This (imho) shows how good Amazon customer service is:
Saw my friend yesterday who was annoyed with herself because she'd (knowingly) taken a free Prime trial out when ordering some last minute Christmas stuff and had forgotten to cancel the free trial within the 30 days.
I told her it was refreshing that she acknowledged that it was her fault rather than Amazon's  and suggested she drop them an email explaining what she'd done (it was only a couple of days outside the deadline) and ask nicely if they'd consider refunding the £49 and cancelling the Prime subscription.
She did so this morning and rang me to say that Amazon rang within minutes of her sending the email to say they would cancel Prime for the year and refund the £49 back onto her credit card.
How good is that? :T
So, she's going to treat me to coffee and cake next time we're out.0 -

I spotted this £49 Prime fee on my bank statement and my wife swears she didn't intentionally sign up for it. Anyway I clicked on cancel and got most of the money back. Just glad I check my statement carefully.0
