Could someone not just make another account with another email address on amazon.co.uk and use that for a new Amazon Prime trial, and seeing as you can share your amazon prime, they could share it with their "main account"

Amazon would most likely close the account(s) if you abused it
Amazon arent shy of closing accounts for too many lost claims for exampl
remember the trial isnt on show for everyone
they will most likely not show the trial to an IP address/physical address who already had it
you can however ring it with your friends
all taking the trial one after the other and sending via gift addresses as required

I guess so, but you could have multiple people in the same household with the same address. i.e. Everyone in my house could make have an account and use the trial one after the other inviting each other to share the trial membership each time. Surely this isn't abuse in that sense.

    I dunno.

Amazing on this thread. We have loads of new sign ups bleating about the scam, underhand tactics, rip off etc etc of Amazon Prime. Yet none of them have bothered to read a few pages of this thread to find out it isn't a scam. If they can't be bothered to do that then you must really wonder what else they choose to ignore.

    That's true, vikingaero.

Custardy posted a screenshot of the Amazon page that mentions the Prime service and cally6008 re-posted it recently.

Clearly, these people are so eager to place their orders that they can't be bothered to read about this service.

It clearly says that the trial is free for one month and you can cancel at any time during the trial and not be charged the annual fee.

Ironically, it's quite often people who claim to be "internet-savvy" who bleat about this being a con, scam, rip-off or any of the other terms usually mentioned by people who don't read what they are signing up for.

well, yh, it defintely isn't a scam, u get next day delivery as long as you order an amazon prime eligible item before about 7pm.

I was just saying how one household with multiple people, each with separate accounts could take turns in using amazon prime, and invite others when thet take up the trial.

So in a nutshell - you are an attention seeker and your wife is a muppet who signs up to things she hasn't read properly. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You obviously make a great combination! ;)

And what exactly was the point of that comment? Ignorant fool.
