Chrome. Fast & simple. Few options to tempt me.

My FF was feeling like a rather overburdened Swiss Army Knife...

Chrome is a pain when it comes to multiple user accounts because it will only appear on the account you install it on. Also bookmarks and history - I could only find them via the home page

Seeing the previous comments on toolbars I have just found the following on my son's laptop:

    AOL toolbar
Google toolbar for I E. Google Updater
    Best security tips toolbar
    Shout cast Radio Toolbar
    My Web Search (popular screensavers)

At the moment he just uses IE.

Can someone please advise what he can safely remove, please?

(I used to use IE and Firefox on my old computer which is not in use at present).

    Thanks.

    I'd remove all of them.

Sometimes use plain, minimal, google toolbar, but that's it.

Thank you everyone for your prompt comments. I'll get my son to look at them later and get back to you (will probably be the weekend before he gets chance to sort it out).
  • Its all about the chrome for me, its clean, really quick and reliable. Firefox is similar but can act strange sometimes, and IE8 is really bad. So slow its not true. I'm not being biased either, i love Microsoft products.

Might try the opera browser out, as its the one i use on my mobile everyday

I wouldn't use anything else than chrome now as a default browser.

Between me and my friend we have used chrome, ie, firefox, opera, flock, safari and netscape, and I prefer chrome and she likes firefox.

I find chrome much much faster than ie and quite a bit faster than any other browser. Only problem is it isn't supported by everything at the moment, and features like autofill aren't currently supported and there's not many settings that you can change. My favourite feature is the address/search bar and the fact that, as each tab is a separate process, only one tab crashes at a time.

I use firefox when chrome isn't supported but find it slow, maybe because it has lots of add-ons installed.

It's personal choice, but I would highly recommend chrome and firefox, as I find it useful to have both.
