I use Opera as my usual browser. You don't have to give up IE though. I have Opera, Firefox and IE, and I use them in that order. The worst that will happen is that a site won't work and you'll have to open IE and copy the url in.

Why not get Opera, Firefox and that Google Chrome thing, and see which you like the feel of best?

Firefox. The add-ons make it unbeatable.

I agree, have been using Firefox for years and much prefer it to IE.

not sure how it measures up for security but the fastest I have seen, by an unbelievable margin on my pc, is Iron - I had no idea a browser could render pages that quick.

    Have tried a fair few.

Firefox - like it and mainly use this
Opera - can't get to liking it and have tried at least 3/4 versions but never took to it
IE :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: not used it in about 9 years and would not touch it with a barge pole
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
    Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

the first vote for Safari here. I find it the fastest out of anything to use, and love the clean interface it gives you.

Totally agree. Safari 4 is the fastest browser I've ever used, and I've actually taken the time to benchmark them (I'm sad, I know). It also has some really nice features. You can also use AdBlock on the Mac version of it, which is nice.

Firefox has all those add-ons, but at its core, Safari is a better browser. Opera is a good browser, but I could never really get into using it. Chrome is OK, but never really grabbed me, and IE isn't worth talking about.

The simplest way to decide which one you like is to use each for a day, and see which one you prefer.
