Hi Sea
These guys live down my way (Farnham/Aldershot)
They give out lots of different "reasons" as to why you should contact them but all centre around their claims to be a mail redirection service (Until you ring them back......) Check this web site with other people's experiences of said company...and note they were actually ringing someone's neighbours to try to get confirmation of the person's address.

Bottom line..don't ring them!

We've received one of these TELOGRAM letters saying they are acting as authorised agents for Capquest Investments Ltd, looking for data re change of address etc and asking us to ring the 01252 576376 number.
We intend to hand the letter over to our solicitor to deal with after reading all the information on here ...thanks for all the help0 -
Just got one of these letters today. The name on the letter is very weired. Its Mr & Miss P & P & J Skrah & Polacek. What sort of name is that????
Got the correct post code. Say the information has been supplied by Equifax. I have lived here for the last 6 years and also the previous owners are not by the name on the letter?
I will take the advice and forget about it, as it seems it is a some scam.
Well done for all the advice.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

My OH has also received a letter from Telogram for someone with the same name and DOB. They advised that they have a previous address for this person in Colchester which is not his - we have lived in out current address for over 7 years. My OH has now advised that they have managed to speak to his employer and his employer sent him a text message asking him to contact a Mel Richards on another tel number (01548). Has anyone else had this same experience??

My daughter has had one of these letters stating that they are an agent for our local water authority for a previous address .. it states thhat they `have been insructed by a major credit reference co. to confirm address or establish a new one` Its a load of rubbish as I paid the outstanding bill and can prove it. To all... sounds like a scam to me!0

We recieved a telogram letter addressed to my partner last week or so. I ignored it as I was pretty sure I had recieved a letter like this before, however today we've recieved the 'H L LEGAL Solicitors' one.
Now my partner does have a loan but thats all good so I trust that its all just a scam (feeling a bit relieved after finding this thread!) but I am pretty anxious as to what happens next.
The house we live in is housing authority, and the woman that lived here previously obv left debts as we kept recieving letters for her, and had bailiffs/whatever arrive once. At first we returned the letters but when they kept coming we phoned and explained etc (Mightve been a bad idea but I was losing sleep over this and so worried all the time, I just wanted to try and make it all stop.)
I wonder if the letters we are getting now are just to get us to confirm that we are now at this address, and theyre trying to pass the debt onto us?
I dont know what to do - Im dreading some meathead turning up and threatening me!!
One thing I did notice though was that on the telogram letter it said to contact them by the 9th Sep, but we recieved the letter on the 10th, and the solicitors one says by the 13th and obv thats today!
So do I just sit tight and ignore? What do I do if someone comes knocking?
Thanks0 -
In what name are these letters, yours or the previous tenant's?
And the past sell by date letter is a standard DCa trick designed to panic you into responding with taking proper advice. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
These letters are in my partners name, I had one sent to me in my name previously.0
