I know, parents, dont you love them!? Good re dad lending you the extra lolly needed, better than a bank loan any day! Will be lovely to move into a new house for Crimbo, your little ones will be so excited! Have they seen it yet?
I will watch the tumble dryer use, its about 48p to dry a full load apparently but I really only got it for when its freezing cold/snowy in the winter and hard to get everything dry without the place resembling a chinese laundry.
Did overtime today then a day off tomoro then back to work for 4 shifts again. The rellies are up from Cornwall next week to hunt for 'the dress' for my brother's wedding, saw the 25% off at Coast in this week's Grazia mag via this website, yay! :T I love Coast.
Never too early to begin packing, if your house is a full as mine of carp, then you'll still be packing in January......:rotfl:KimmyCustard :j0 -
We did try and think out the carp but TBH its getting as bad again
. I want to pack up all my dvd's and cd's as the unit is a bit rickity and TBH probably wont survive the move
We are thinking that maybe we should just flatten it and dump it to save hassle

2 - 3 a day??! Wow, thats alot of washing! We do about 3 a week, including bedding and towels, its them that take soooo long to dry in this weather.
It was -3 here degrees last night so I left the heating on all night. I like it toasty so I dread to think what it was like where you are!
Day off today so tidying and hoovering etc etc then back to work tomoz.
Will you move yourselves or have you the luxury of those little men in overalls with Pickfords written on their jumpers to come in and clear you out??!KimmyCustard :j0 -
Oh i'm having lots of little men to do my bidding, a smallish local company with a good reputation charges £45 an hour to pack and move for 3 men and a van, £80 for 6 men and 2 vans. For that I would rather pay them and just stand and point rather than actually do something
Think we will be aiming to do alot of the packing ourselves and just have the movers actually moving the boxes and furniture. We thing we will also be emptying our storage unit so it is totally empty and closing that off. New house has a florred attic and pull down ladder so everything can go up there.
My FIL is in building trade and has a van so OH has arranged to do a run to the dump next week with stuff plus at their house they have an attic above their garage for toys that santa elvs have left here already for the big day will be put there until move done then they will come back under cover of darkness to be wrapped.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Yeay! Have just caught up - blimey! Good stuff (I would have chosen house 1 anyway - we moved 27th Oct and baby no 3 due 2nd jan - so been there, got the tshirt etc) - and movers are a MUST! Ours set up all our beds etc (wooden ones with slats) and put boxes in teh right rooms - SO-OO much easier. I'd never move myself again
Yeay on teh ebaying too - and it's never to early to pack some things away!

Still in the squeaky bum stage, we have did full mortgage application yesterday with halifax. Our AIP earlier that day was an automatic accept with A rating (no idea what that means) a maximum almost twice what we are wanting so broker says looks good but of course we live in weird times and sometimes decisions shock him, cases he expects to sail through underwritting don't and cases he expects to struggle go through no problem.
So i'm at that panicy stage where we need to wait and see for ourselves and hope buyer mortgage is agreed easilly too so she can sign missives etc.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Lovely, I would love little men to move us, even if we were moving - which we're not....... confused? Me too!
Keeping parts crossed for you re the missives, mortgage result etc etc.
Still thinking about Lapland......KimmyCustard :j0 -
Me too. Captain cash the news of the world cashback site has 20% off deals for this year apparently. A nursery mum has booked a 3 night trip with huskys etc for 2 adults and a 4 year old for just under 1k through it.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Thats really good, Ive just had a look at it, I was looking at going for the day for £1100! Wonder how expensive it would be to buy the lunches/dinner etc for 3 whilst there?? Hmmmmm......
Am thinking of overpaying our mortgage by £75 per month, which is only £900 a year. This however wont start till after Crimbo now! I do pick my times for money saving....KimmyCustard :j0
