Mine is currently a 3 bed semi too, 8 of us (thanks to the new arrival!) limited tv allowance for the children, tumble dryer, cavity wall insulation and its £80 a month G&E combined , in credit but it evens out over the winter months. HTH
I can't be bothered updating this anymore
  • LP just popped in to say how exciting it is about the new house. fingers and toes crossed.

Been in Ayrshire, 120ish miles away :) Break was nice but weather rubbish. On way home tried to persuade husband to pull into IKEA to pick up a booklet but he was having none of it and kids were asleep in the back anyway.

not been home yet, we were due at parents for sunday lunch so i am taking 5 mins for a quick catch up. before we go home plus TBH i ache real bad and need to lie on a sofa with feet up if possible :)

i'm home now, bad mummy I am though, I ache and we need to plan for the week ahead so I have put on finding nemo and OH cooked some micro popcorn ( 4 bags in store cupboard) so the girls are quiet :)

I need to set out some sort of plan for 2011. I am waiting for our confirmed mortgage application and the paperwork fo rsale being completed but loods like mortgage amount will be a little over 110k because with the tight deadline we have had to add the application fee to the motgage which is £495. so looking like 110,295 to start with unless of course we win the lottery meantime. We have requested 1st of month as repayment date so looks like 1st Jan 2011 so 2011 is our year :)

This is so exciting LP, it's moving so quickly for you :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks Gally, Things are moving very quickly. Trying not to get excited, worried about mortgage etc. We are needing 90% and with OH's debt despite never missing a payment or that i'm nervous. Although halifax AIP was for over 170k taking debt into consideration and we are only asking for 110k so I hope that will sit well with the underwriters. monthly pyt 700 on a 3k income with a further £720 on debt payment so still over £1500 for food utilities etc.

Think reading the mortgage board is scaring me because all these people posting about declined mortgages after having AiP's are probably the minority because no one posts oo i asked for XYZ and they gave me it with minimal hassle type posts they just float right on. Doesn't help that my mortgage broker is very matter of fact and states that we are in difficult times and lenders behaving very inconsistantly.
