I was thinking that QB. Stuff like is loft insulated, any idea how deep, we hada coal fire but have bloked it off so asked about how blocked off it was and if could be restored to working again (yup its just plaster board and a plaster reskim with chimney pot capped and that sort of thing. also its warm home so they asked if I would mind saying what the utility costs were and other mundane but essential stuff like broadband suppliers and can they get a digital signal from rooftop ariel (yes)

    Sounds good Lilac :j
Usually if viewers can imagine their furnitures in your place or already ask the running costs of their "potential" new house, that must be a good sign..

    Keeping everything crossed for you...:D

All sounds very promising, they seem quite interested.

Yeah. We are now in a bit of a quandry, market here is totally flat so how low an offer are we prepared to accept if of course they offer at all? I am trying to be positive and not negitive but very little is shifting, price is low, same as 2 others in same area needing modernisation but ours is fully done. We obviously don't want to give it away but in the same respect 2 beds and 2 kids looks ok, 2 beds 3 kids looks overcrowded and desperate to sell. Lots to consider.

  • well another day another puzzle. Mortgage and overpayment due on Friday so :). I am trying to toy with the idea of renting for a bit or offering low low low for house we want if we get a buyer. At the same time I want to get as much overpayments made as is humanly possible this month. I am thinking of joining dooyoo and making a determined effort to do that plus do a Christmas fair in late Novermber for more money. We have a 20 week scan on Friday so I am over half way to being finished.

I think the whole pregnant/ill/lots of spare cash but too much overspending going on. The house we are looking at and that OH is very keep on is valued at 120k, We have roughly 18k equity if this place sells for what the surveyor says its worth. We can afford to cut an awful lot from our asking price and still make a 90% ltv with a mortgage rate of 5.99% fixed for years. Also it will take 8-12 weeks to put it all in place and in that time we can easy save another 2k plus if desperate we can always either rely on C card for a month or relay on bank of mum and dad. FIL and DH drive lorrys so worst of worse they do the move without using a removal comany to save cash.

My mind is thinking my health is getting worse, possibly now is the time to just get this sold and see what the future brings for us all as a family. Our mortgage is smaller than rent so this place has cost us very little over the years, overall even with now bathroom/kitchen its cost less than we would of been renting a home so it's maybe time to just sell and move.

  • Sounds like a lot going on in your head there Lilac.

Dooyoo - a lot of people think it is not worth it. To be honest. It has taken me just over 2 months and a lot of effort to get to £50. It is worth it to me as i am here at home and i can put the time in, but is it the best use of your time? You've mentioned ebay before which could be more profitable. I just feel i should warn you before you start that it isn't that easy to get to the payment threshold and it might not be your cup of tea. I love it though, so i am going to keep at it. I know Pammy was getting a bit fed up of it as she has been a member a long time.

  • Have a look if you are bored, but i just wanted to point out it is not easy. I have been on there a couple of hours today and that is pretty much normal. It is also bad as it makes me want loads of stuff.

Sorry to hear you've got SPD. I hope it is not too severe. I can't even imagine going through that with small kids to run round after.

Ouch at developing SPD, I had it from 35/36 weeks and it was horrible. Apparantly makes labour easier tho (gotta be a bright side!) As you have quite a few months left maybe your GP could refer you for some physio?
