Think it might have been wishful thinking, then DF said we are in august you know, thats the 8th month, christmas is in the 12th and i went - OH MY GOD.
I put it down to be pregnant and not having a brain left anymore.
I'll really begin to panic when we get to 99 sleeps until christmas.
Ha Ha - I know what you mean - My holiday tickets were delivered yesterday and we then worked out that we go in 3 weeks and 4 days - Now what's the chance that I can lose about 6 stone between now and then  I'm dreading October - it's when I have to go back to work after my maternity leave, I've been off since November the 4th 2008 and I'm dreading it

Ive just started my maternity leave - think thats why i am so organised.
As im having a c-section and wont be very active for a few weeks i felt the need to get things done in advance. Its my DD 2nd birthday 3 weeks after i have my baby and there is no way i would be up tp trundeling around town looking for borthday presents. So we have bought them already and i'm sat wrapping them up now.
I really must make a start on making my christmas cards, but i cant find the inspriation / motivation so i might just get some shop bought one's. And do handmade one's witht he kids for them to give to people.
I noticed that card warehouse yesterday, now has LOADS of xmas stock in - i was like YEY christmas.
Had to resist buying loads of gift bags and giant massive cards.
To me - that now means that i am not crackers for sorting christmas, once a shop stops stuff it's an official christmas countdown.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

I didnt see any teddies yet, just cards, boxed xmas cards and gift bags, but they still have loads of congrats you passed your exams stuff in, so i assume when it comes to the end of august they might get them in then. I need a few for my xmas eve hamper for the kids, as well as other bits.
There's not much more i can do for the stuff i need until the shops start stocking christmas stuff.
I know what i am getting people but i cant buy it yet.
I have a list of other things that i keep searching the net for every few days and when i see a good deal i will buy it.
I used to wait till the last minute as things get reduced nearer the date, but that just leaves me all frazzled and frantic. This year im hoping to have it all done by october, then i'll put money aside each week for me and DF to treat ourselves in the sales as we arent buying each other anything big for christmas. We prefer to focus on the kids.
I'm also looking at a menu for christmas dinner - it will be the 1st one i have cooked myself as we normaly go to my mum's. So nothing to complicated. But i want to add a few new things to the menu as well as the traditional stuff my mum has passed down to me, then i can pass these down to my own kids. I dont want to be tying myself to the kitchen all morning cooking either, as i'll miss out with the kids.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Only just seen this thread and haven't read all way thru so apologies if I'm duplicating but the other week I bought 4 charlie and Lola hardback books in my 99p store. They are price marked £7.99 on the back. Can only remember 3 of the titles

We're a bit behind in Stoke - I've not seen nobody putting Christmas stuff out yet - just selling the old stock off from last year. I did get excited when I went to the wholesalers the other day though as they have now got there Halloween stock on display, now I know that I've only got to go through Halloween then Bonfire night stock then they bring out the Christmas Stuff :T:T:T0

for those of you looking for cheap gifts check this out:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1885299
it's a link that lets you search the clearance stock in your local argos store.
I just got loads of magnext sets and a wooden fairy castle for my kids all half price or less.
I would have never have found these without this link.
Few more pressies under the tree for me.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
