I've got started on my xmas presents and a while ago I bought some of my nieces old toys, she had lots of barbie clothes, cars, houses etc and I have friends kids to give them to. I have separated them out and am looking for a nice couple of boxes to put all the clothes into, something shoe box size with a nice pattern, does anyone know where I can get some cheap ones from?
also looking for something for an 8yr old boy and 10yr old boy, any suggestions gratefully received having difficulty getting any ideas from parents!Sealed pot challenge - £400 no.4910 -

Hi, I will do that if I can't find anything reasonably priced but just thought that as I wasn't giving them new toys I would buy a nice box to put it all in but thanks for the suggestion.

Liz,
Smiths have these...
Poka dot shoe box for £5.99 - http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-Polka+Dot+Shoe+Box+-33503332.html#
Daisy print shoe box for £6.99 - http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-Daisy+Shoe+Box-33511795.html
I've seen them in store and they look gorgeous and really substantial and sturdy, I'd love to get them but I'm hoping they'll reduce the prices!
Alternatively, how about buying plastic baskets, I've seen pick ones in pound shops I think. You could turn it into a hamper.
They could use both the Smiths boxes and plastic baskets afterwards as storage.0 -
Something like this? It's £2.25 from Wilkinsons

i have just been to tescos - and they have loads of good bits in there!
got a tshirt and short set for my best mates little girl go towards xmas present - she be around 6 months then and been asked to just get clothe bits, so was good find for £1.50!
they got other clothes cheap too - boys tshirts at £1.50 and they aren't in the sale so thats good fillers.
also the sharpie pens are reduced, got 4 of the small coloured keyring ones for £1.75 rather than £2.50,
power ranger illuminating pen (with torch light on the end) 49p...wasnt in reduced bit.
they got small tubes of either clay/plastacine moulds, sponge painting or stickers for £1. Thought was good for some of the younger little ones bits.
i just worked it out - all the bits that i have for friends little boy-soon to be 6 is £20, and i got loads of bits - enough to split down the middle for xmas and birthday! spent less than some of the toys he will get, but will have more to play with/do! love it! thats all thanks to this site with the fab ideas! :rotfl::heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!
Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

how about a drawing hamper? i did one for my 12yr old nephew for £20 but you could easily do it for £15 or even £10. the works is great for dicounted art supplies
or slimy stuff hamper, there was one done last year if you do a search you could find the contents
or a space hamper?
or a movie hamper, you can pick up dvds pretty cheap from tescos or morrisons. argos also have a 3 disc dvd for £15 bogof0
