there is actually a thread called snowman soup - if you do a search for it you will find it. Can't post the link myself for some reason....
It is basically a mix of hot chocolate, chocolate drops and marshmallows to be given out as gifts - a fantastic idea and I will be making mine next week! HTH xMotto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
2015 Objective - Pay off credit cards/Overpay mortgage
2015 Wins: Nothing yet, but keeping trying :T0 -
I got my sisters present today, not going to say what it is just in case! But I got it from tightsplease.com which was free delivery and the product was cheaper than elsewhere. Will report back when it gets delivered but so far I'm impressed. This weekend I'm hoping to get more ideas for my mum and dad. I might be finished this time next week!0

WH Smith were doing a free cuddly toy penguin when you bought an iTunes voucher (I guess you'd have to buy the vouchers seperately go get more penguins). Not sure if you could use the penguins for anyone else though?!
I'd say Boots would be a good bet for a 12 year old - there is something for everyone in Boots and I guess she'd be getting into make up/toiletries etc now. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Its only free because you've paid for it.
Noone can have everything they want and the sooner you learn that the better.

Hello All
Thought I'd stop in and see how everyone is doing - haven't been on here for a while - plenty of overtime to keep me busy lately which has been nice but lot a lot of exciting stuff going on here I'm afraid so Christmas preparations have fallen behind some what.
I have no christmas cards made or written
still got gifts to buy - granted not many but still!
and no decorations brought etc (theme will be gold, cream, bronze and brown)
and still making plans for bens festive friend! oh dear - 2 days till he arrives (should add I have him but no other ideas!)
Also just ordered some new sofas from DFS which should be here before Xmas which is nice - they are mine and boyfriends presents to each other as we couldnt think what to buy and boyfriend was rejected for credit btu I was accepted so wil have those by then hopefully which means my christmas tree can go between the two sofas
Also hoping to redecorate to a degree before Xmas - just magnolia so not too expensive or fancy but clean/fresh.

:j:jI HAVE MY TREE UP:j:j
managed to coax dh into doing it last night! the kids are amazed!
wrapped all my kids presents last week at mil and fils. dh and i put all the wrapped stuff in boxes and pulled all the things that need to be set up to a side. so when fil delivers them on xmas eve, we will be organised and know exactly what is what. which will be a million times easier than it was last year;)
i have managed to buy a few more things thanks to the help of my wonderful mil (having major problems with tax credits and have had no money from them for almost 4 weeks now:mad: so xmas shopping has kinda taken a back burner)
i still have a few more to get tho
mum - thinking of some nice earring and maybe a top/jumper
dad - photobook and poster from his boxing days
stepdad - havent a clue
nanna - she wants a pink cardigan. already have a boxed 'nan' cup for her
dh has so far; and still to get;
-foo fighters cd
-pimp cup
-guitar book and dvd set
-stand for guitar
-cleaning solutions for guitar (exciting presents eh?!)
-shaving set with mirror for the bathroom
-electric guitar book and dvd set
-milk tray (the big puff, he loves them!)
-another cd hes after
-total guitar magazine subscription although i think i may buy him the magazine everymonth as i have £8.50 in tesco points, then £5 is showing already to be sent in febs statement. im hoping by feb i will have the £18.50 needed in points to get it then, or failing that i should def have them by july for his birthday.
so hes just about finished, unless i see anything else that he 'needs'
everyone else i have finished including my ds, nephew, niece and goddaughters birthdyas which are all in decemeber aswell.
overall i dont think im doing too badly. i just hope tax credits will be sorted this week as it should be backdated so will be able to get it all finished off in one go!0 -

thank you

I'm nearly done... just got the last few bits to get for people but I think my mum, aunty and my uncle are done - just need to wrap them
Still need to get somethings for my niece, sister, dad, brother and for Ex from our DD. DD is almost taken care of, just the odd thing that I need to pass on to Santa
Oh and make all the cards up and write some
The decorations are half up (all the ceiling garlands, and the majority of the things I need the step ladder for - sometimes having a picture rail is handy) and the majority of the ornaments (like snowstorms & models DD has made in school) are out; tomorrow after I've finished shopping I'll do the window; tree and finishing touches.
Going to be a bit strange this year as I have a taller tree which means I might need the step ladder to put the fairy on the top :rotfl: Oh well, its only once a year, and as long as DD stays well away while I do it (she is soooo accident prone ATM
) it should be fine, if not I may well end up the fairy on the tree :rotfl::rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
