For my little sister I'm making a make over hamper, and have got nail varnish, a bag, and a dress. I'm hoping to find a reasonably priced make over day too.

So, any advice on anything? I might delete specifics from here in a day or two, in case anyone snoops!

Just thought this might help with sisters hamper depending on where she lives/transport etc. Buyagift.com are doing lots of cheap experiences until midnight tomorrow, Monday. http://www.buyagift.co.uk/content/promotions/santaclaws/index.aspx?cm_re=homepage-_-santaclaws-_-a
experience for one is down to £10, for two its £15!! Worth a look.
Hope this helps you out with your hamper! You could join her for an extra £5!!

I had an ispiration moment when watching a christmassy film on halmark - one of my friend's mothers has just recovered from breast cancer and this gave me inspiration for the secrect santa hamper. At christmas time we all (8 of us) go out for a meal and we bring a small gift for everyone (only £2-3 max) and we all go home with a lovely hamper. I am doing a breast cancer pink thing. I bought a tray of pink beast cancer awareness coke, 8 pimk flakes (15p each cos a lady was given out 20p vouchers), small pink nail vanishes (90p) tube of pink smarties each (£1 342) just want 1 more pink thing ???? total £1.91 each not bad

thought I'd also ask what is the funniest christmas thing you heard a child say?
my ds is 3 on dec21st he informed me today that santa lives in the norp hole in a hotel !

he also wanted to know when we were putting the farm out (that would be the nativity!!!)

and finally in case you didn't know there are lots of santas but 1 real big father christmas!

Can i ask where did you get you pink breast awareness coke and flakes from ta?:D

My duaghter is just 4 and she calls santa Farmer Christmas!! It tickles me every time she says it.:rotfl:

I just want it over and done with now. It's hard enough trying to find things for the difficult to buy for people, but I'm buying all the presents on my Grandma's behalf too, so it's twice as hard!

    Here's my list so far:
    (My shopping)
    DH
    Wii Sports resort
Tickets to Rocky Horror show in January
USA book (going there next year!)
    Toffee
Bad Girls the musical DVD (missed it when it was on stage)
    Simpsons PJ's
    Jumper
Michael McIntyre DVD (saw him last week & he's brilliant!)
Still need to buy some silly stocking filler things, but will do that in Home Bargains when I go home to see the family

    Mum
    Shopping bag
    Luggage scales
3 trial subscriptions to various cross stitch magazines (only 3 issues of each, but I know she'll love it)
Grumpy Old Christmas book (she enjoys the TV shows, so this should go down well)
    Belt
Hair cut in London (Lastminute offer)
Hot stone massage (again, LM offer :T)

    Grandma
Christmas gel gems (she loved the autumn leaves that I bought for her last Christmas)
Cross stitch (have been sitching one for her for christmas & birthdays, as they're a set of 4 seasons-this one is Autumn)
Suction handles for the bathroom & step from kitchen & living room. She has trouble getting up sometimes (she's almost 90, so not doing too bad!) so thought these may help

    Dad
Gretna Green football shirt-he's been on about one for ages and my DH found one on Ebay
    Football trolley token keyring
    Jamie Oliver cooking spices

    Stepmum
    Ronan Keating CD
    Couple of pairs of socks
Warming slippers (they have a microwavable heat pad in the base)
Internet address/password book (joint with my Dad)

    Cousin
    Shopping hamper:
    I love shopping bag
    I love shoes & shopping T-shirt
    Magnetic shopping list
    Purple pen
    Shoe money box
    Slipper socks

    Auntie
Most of our family have christmas socks & undies (!!!) and last year my auntie mentioned that she didn't, so I'm doing her a mini christmas eve hamper with a pair of xmas knickers, xmas socks, some sachets of hot chocolate & a couple of candy canes
    On christmas day she'll have:
    Bubble bath set
    Handbag charm

    Aunt's boyfriend
    Set of boxed christmas mugs

    Brother and his fiance
I came up with the idea of doing them an entertaining/party hamper and I've come up with so many ideas that I've got the rest of the family adding bits too!
The 'hamper' is a big ice bucket
    Chocolate fountain
    Chrome wine stoppers
    Festive 'nibbles' plates
(other family members are adding wine charms, ice cube trays, glow sticks, bottle opener...)

    Best friend
    Miss Piggy T shirt
    Tatty Teddy photo clip
    Born to Shop spoon rest

Other friends (not naming as they might come on here, so they'll have numbers! Sorry girls!)

    Friend 1
Address book (she's always having to ask for my address, so no excuse now!)
    I love shoes T shirt
    New Mock the Week book

    Friend 2
    Winter warmer hamper:
    Hand warmers
    Teal scarf
Festive mugs with ice skate dangles
    Red hot water bottle
    Sachets of latte/Cappucino/hot choc
    Mini marshmallows
    Candy canes
    Festive spoon

    Friend 3
    Perfect night in hamper:
Top to toe pamper sachet set
    Baileys cocktail set
PS I love You book (she keeps asking to borrow mine, but I'm a bit funny about lending out books)
    Little Miss Christmas T Shirt
    Socks

    Friend 4
    Mini hot water bottle
Red & Green Yankee Candle oil burner

    Friend 5
    Accessorize vanity case
    Body spray
    Moisturiser
(We go away together a lot, so thought this might be useful)

    Friend 6
Cocktail glass-really cute! It's hand painted with handbags!
    I love shopping bag

    Friend 7
    Little Miss Christmas top
    Tatty Teddy photo clip

    DH Family
    Mulled wine gift set
    Candle set

    Friend's kids
Don't usually buy for them, but as some of my friend's also buy for my DH, I thought I find them a little something this year.
Have got all 4 very similar gifts:
Christmas mini buckets/tubs filled with a cuddly santa & either a cheap DVD, disposable camera or some girly sparkly glitter stuff.

    Family friends
    (both male, so trickier!)
    Grumpy Old Men audio CD
    Spoon rest

    By Any Means book
    Mint shower gel & shampoo

Think that's it for my shopping! I've even bored myself with it! Don't think I'll bother listing my shopping on my Grandma's behalf.
I will ask for advice on what to get my mum's boyfriend from Grandma though.
So far I've got a couple of (cheap) DVD's, a book, bath bomb and travel toothbrush. He'll probably get lots of food & drink from others (which mum will have to hide, or it'll be gone by boxing day!) He's 49, like motorbikes, driving and going out visiting new places. Any suggestions welcome!

I promise I'm not boasting but all my presents are bought and wrapped!:D Am going to start the dreaded chore of writing the cards this weekend, I like to get them done and posted by the beginning of the second week of December if I can.

I love the post in December, something nice in the post everyday! I'm afraid I don't want e.cards or an email saying a donation has been made instead of sending out cards. Buy charity cards, buy cheap cards, make cards but send me a card, is my motto:p

I agree about the cards thing. Oddly though, I really enjoy doing my cards. It's the envelopes I hate!

I haven't posted on this thread before but I am an organised christmas person and have already wrapped and given out six kids' presents, and have bought many more. I have ideas for most people, just my parents nad my in-laws that I can't figure out yet. DH is useless about Chroistmas - he is a teacher and thinks it's ok to start thinking about it when he breaks up on 17 december!
