I bought my daughters christmas presents yestardy, i was waiting on something else to see if it dropped in price, but we walked into our local toy store and they were just putting some toys out that my DD fell in love with so we bought them instead.
We've got her the mini baby born sets, all horse orientated. 1 has a horse, mini doll and horse box and we got her a few more horses and some other sets, we spent about £60.
So that is it.
I have no more space ANYWHERE to hide anything else. I feel so good that im now all done and dusted.
Also went into B&M and got a few things for our xmas eve hamper.
2 plastic christmas tumblers 59p each & a christmas colouring tube, which has some christmas pages and crayons in it for £1
Me & DF have finally decided on what we are doing this year. We went into wilkinsons and they had some gorgeous BIG xmas gift boxes ( bigger than A4 but not quite A3 in size for £3.50 each) so we got 1 each and this years challenge is to fill it.
As soon as i said that DF started to think of all the things that would and wouldnt fit in it, which was great as for the past few weeks he has been struggling to think of anything.
SO I am now excited to find out what gets put in my box.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

I'm sure I saw one in BHS but it was in a little gift set. They might have a 20% off sale on again soon and maybe you could you use the other item in the set for another present.0

My mum has just started patchwork quilting and she really loves it. Now, I would love to make her a patchwork themed hamper, but I don't have the first clue of what to put in it.
Was just wondering if there might be people on here that know a thing or two about patchwork quilting?0 -

Hi!
Hope i'm not too late to join you all!!
I've got the inlaws coming for xmas lunch this year and for humbugs as they are I want to show them how fun Christmas can be, and is for me.
As we're in complete financial strain I hope to do it all on a budget and the presents the same. thankfully everyone knows our situation so we never feel pressured to get expensive gifts but thinking of something fairly cheap but effective.
i'm making Christmas cards.
My mum gave me an idea that she wanted a nice photo of husband and I. So I have decided to push the boat out for the grand total of £25 (instead of their usual price of £55) and have a professional photo session of us done and pay £10 for a photo and a frame for presents. (my parents, DH's mum, his Nan, my 2 sets of godparents and my sister and bestfriend). I was also thinking of making some truffles or something similar as a little something extra.
There are only 4 children (nieces and nephews) and their all sorted and apart from that theres no one else we need to buy for.
I know i know i could just get a friend to take a pic and make it cheaper but its something i'd really like to do. (more money than sense lol). also with the research i did this was the cheapest. most of the ones i saw were from £45 for the shoot and pics started at £25.
i'm also planning on getting a nice turkey and ham from the butchers as my mil is getting the veg and i was thinking of making the xmas cake and xmas pudding this yr (altho know i need to do this extremely soon).
And talking of xmas baking i was going to make some sausage rolls, gingerbread, truffles, scones, cheese twists, mince pies and some dips to have with crudites.0 -
My SIL had the kids yesterday until this morning so I got loads more wrapping done last night, stocking stuff wrapped and sorted. Then tidied present cupboard and put it all away neatly, rather than dumping it in the bedroom!
This morning I picked up a whole duck in Tesco for £7 (half price) so that's in the freezer for Christmas dinner, to be joined eventually by a Ham.
I think we're having my parents and little sister (13) round again this year as they had sucha lovely time last year my sister has been begging to come again. I don't want to go away for xmas as the baby is due a month after! Think I may be delegating a little more this year though (if I can bring myself to do it, I do love being in charge!)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
