My mum has just started patchwork quilting and she really loves it. Now, I would love to make her a patchwork themed hamper, but I don't have the first clue of what to put in it.

Was just wondering if there might be people on here that know a thing or two about patchwork quilting? :o

Selection of sewing cottons, pk of nice big-headed pins, small pieces of material (curtain sample pieces are perfect - well they are for me:p) applique patches, pk of her favourite sweets to be consumed whilst quilting, thimble, pr of small embrodery scissors and if she is doing the traditional quilting then paper and templates for the various shaped patches. How about a small but strong lamp for evening/nightime sewing, a 'daylight' bulb, tailors chalk, a book on quilting. Is that enough?:rotfl:
Quick edit, a pkt of hand wipes as it is amazing how sweaty and grubby hands can get just sewing!!

Finally decided what I can put my retro sweet thing in.. we have some quite big kilner jars that aren't being used (and my parents can have them back afterwards) so going to put them in there I think - any that are too tall to go in can just be outside it somehow (maybe attached with ribbon) because I'm going to wrap it with cellophane anyway. Finally - now that's sorted, I think I know everything I'm doing :D

Now, to find a tennis ball for the "ball of life"... maybe I should have thought about this in the summer! :D

I think you need to take the first 's' out for the website you are trying to get to

    http://www.fivepoundgifts.co.uk/

Hi - if you leave out the first 's' it should work - fivepoundgifts.co.uk (I think because I'm new on the forums I can't post this as a link, so you have to add www. before it) - let me know if this doesn't work
