  • afternoon all! ,
    went to my local tescos earlier and got a few bargains that was needed;
a lego indiana PSP game for £12, boyfriend mention gran theft auto and another new one that are around £25 upwards - dont like spending so much on a game, especially when he will play for a few weeks then it be months inbetween playing - like having a child the way he changes his mind!! lol.
also got a box of matchmakers as they only £1, so they are being hidden with few other xmas food bits i have brought so far - we lost 2 tins of celbrations down to my boyf having 2 days off other week....! will hide them in cupboard in bedroom and pull out nearer xmas! lol.
remember a while back people were making tea bag cards (i think!?) dunno if people still doing it, but they got boxes of after 8 chocolates for £2.58 with 50% extra free in them; so didnt think was too bad priced really.

also - hoping someone might be able to help; am looking for a present for my boyf - 3 weeks ago on our local market they had big canvas' with cartoon comic book covers on them - the old style superman, iron man, etc. they were only £15, but i couldnt carry it back with me when i saw them. i have gone specifically into town each week paying £3.20 on a saturday only being 15 mins to find it, and the stall not there!!!! grr!
have looked online but they are easily £50 upwards, as this was £15 i dont want to spend too much, espceially as its for my mum to give him. ideally its an Iron Man i want to get - ebay not been helpful at all; only few have been from the movie, which isnt really what i am looking for.
    any help be appreciated!! :o)

Iffyton has a free Tshirt offer at the moment - £3.80 postage but it's an air guitar shirt totally suitable for a 20 year old.

Thanks, just ordered the freebie plus the mystery bundle of 5 for £10 - they'll do for work if nothing else!

We saw these not so long ago in one of those bargain stores, not a pound shop but one of those large shops that sell everything at bargain prices. The one we were in was in EK but I can't find or remember the name.

I have now finished my Christmas shopping. I have to make snowman soup and looking for a clear box to make a retro sweet box for my nephew then thats it. I am sooo happy. Im sure I wont be able to resist the bargains that I find but its not too bad as 2 of my nieces have birthday early January. I have saved loads due to all the bargains listed on this site but I still havent got the hang of a MSE. Maybe next year Ill stick to my budget.

I have a plastic/perspex clear display box if you (or anyone else) want one i can send you one. I will have to take a picture and upload :D

Gosh, you've all been really busy on here too!!

Well, we managed to sort our front spare bedroom this weekend finally, which involved MASS shredding of old bills and statements, and hubby going up the loft to put stuff away up there. While he was up there he suggested getting the Christmas decs down!! Reason being is that baby is due middle of December, and it needs two of us to get the stuff down safely - so I was much better use to him this weekend than I would be in a months time. Don't worry though - I'm not mad enough to have put them up yet! lol They are sat in the corner of the spare bedroom tempting me! lol

    Cracker ideas -

Miniature toiletries - you can get little tiny bubble baths and for men little spray shaving stuff, not sure what it is but I've seen it in Tesco for 99p next to the other shaving stuff :) It's in a blue and green little, tiny spray canister. Also, I think the Lynx bullet sprays would fit.

    Chocolates/sweets

    Earrings

    Scratchcards

Sachets like face masks, you can get them for men as well as women

    Nail varnish would probably fit

I've ran out of ideas now, hope that helped a bit :)

Thanks, that's great! We've decided for the crackers for the inlaws (because hubby's being particular about it!) that we will do table gifts instead (so they don't ahve to fit the cracker) witha number on each on, piled in the centre of the table. Then inside the crackers will be a corresponding number and they have to match it up!

My parents will get silly things inside the crackers instead though. lol

    Morning All

I went into Hanley yesterday and got some more bits. Went into WHs and got the Guinness Book of Records and DS game deal, a couple of books for my birthday, book for MIL's Christmas present, Horrid Henry book set and a few other bits - spent £40 and saved £32 so not too bad. Also went back and got an Enid Blyton boxed set which was £12.99 but with my £5 off voucher and 20% off cost me £6 something - RRP about £40.

Also got a few bits from BHS as they had 20% off everything.

    So doing well really.
