had a good shopping day yesterday. Found pressies for my nephews so thats 2 off the list, just need wrapping in december. Got most of the stuff for my nieces hampers. Decided to put in pjs slipper socks bath bombs flannels crisps popcorn chocolate and a cheap dvd. so they are sort of girls night in/movie hampers. Got all the stuff for just under a tenner each and just need a cheap dvd for each so should be in my budget of £15 each.
Managed to find some cheap cards too, missed out on the january sales last year because we went on holiday, so having to source cards paper etc without breaking my budget. Im going to deliver as many cards as possible this year most are fairly local and hopefully i will get a cuppa and a mince pie for my efforts.!!
victory-im sure teenagers like ours just try to play one parent off against another. I have yet to see the evidence of my sons pals having loads more stuff than him. they all seem to have around the same amount of stuff to me. I once told mine that if his friends parents and house was so much better than ours perhaps he should move in with them....he nearly choked....Ive found you need to make your decisions whatever they are and then stick to it no matter what, no changing your mind because they are getting on your nerves. its just not worth it. take care, one day they will realise how hard it is.
Wish your sons knew how spoilt they are, when I was 16 (only 8 years ago) my Christmas present limit was (and had been for years) £20. I never complained, my parents were really poor and I was grateful I got anything. If my kids ever get like that with me they'll be getting a shock - I'm thinking £10 book token and a jumper lol!
Christmas shopping is going well, have got over half of the main presents bought for the 20 people on my list, plus 4 complete stockings full of pressies.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Have picked up a few bits recently. Some 3 pack of pjs from Littlewoods for DS1 & DS2 £9.00 each. Had been hooing and haaing about the Upsy Daisy Bedside drawers (£9.99) for about a month but seeing them on the Grabbit board again encouraged me to order them. Also got Express Train Zip Bin which should be ideal for my little nephews to run their Thomas trains on.
Oh, nearly forgot. I must be the only person who doesn't know that the Internet only items at Argos have no delivery charge. Was as pleased as punch to discover I could order 2 x 3pck of Thomas Tank floating soaps for only £1.99 each. If only Tesco were the same...
Will be checking out the cupboards over the next week to ensure my boys have the right ingredients for Christmas Cake!!Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
