Wow NEgirl - I have just been drooling at your blog - your things are gorgeous. You are so talented. Do you sell any of your things online or just at fairs?

Your heart blackboard is lovely - can I ask where you got the MDF heart and blackboard paint from?

Thank you xxx I do some fairs at Christmas and have sold handmade goods via a market seller before but i love just making things so cant do stock iykwim as ieverything i do is different - i get bored doing the same things so i tend to do one batch of something then move onto the next project :) I havent sewn for ages and im starting to get the itch to get the sewing machine back out! :D

The hearts were bought wholesale as i have done some door plaques for girlie bedrooms etc too - will try and find a link where i ordered from as its well over a year ago! The chalkboard paint was from B&Q and it was only around £6 or so a tub - you get masses in as its so thick so it lasts ages! :)

  • What a shame you don't sell online but I quite understand. I can't quite justify a round trip of 600 odd miles to come and see your stuff at a fair!!

By the way, how on earth do you find time to make all these lovely things with four boys?!

If you find the details of the hearts that would be great but please don't go to any trouble

Thankfully all the boys are quite crafty too so they like nothing better than sitting making things with me - the oldest is 13 so hes often off on his computer etc but the younger ones love cutting and sticking! lol :) We have spent all day today making Halloween goodes including paper and ribbon bunting, albums, covered tins and little packets of candles etc - theyve loved it but the galeforce winds have stopped so they have now left me to tidy while they play outside!:rotfl:

I had a good shopping day today and feel much more prepared for Christmas now :) I got some amazing bargains as well!

In the Cancer Research charity shop I bought lots of things! I got 2 Mr Men soft toys for my son, a Mr Tickle and Mr Funny for 75p each. They look brand new and he will love them so much. I think their normal price is around £5, so that's a nice bargain.
I also bought a necklace for my mother-in-law that is very similar to one I saw her admiring recently that cost £20. This one cost £2!
Also in Cancer Research I got a toiletries bag containing unopened hand cream and lots of bathy things like a loofah, spongey thingy etc, all brand new for £1.50. I'm going to include it in my Mum's pamper hamper.

I have made a start on my niece and nephew's hampers too which is the main reason I'm feeling more organised. I'm making a baking hamper for my niece and I bought a mixing bowl, measuring jug, rolling pin, wooden spoon, whisk, cookie cutters, butterfly cake mould and silicone cake cases for the grand total of £5.50! I need to get an apron, some cake decorating items and ingredients. I also need to print out the cake and biscuit recipes I've got from the internet and put them in a decorated folder, then that's done :)
My nephew is 15 and loves toiletries so I've bought him lots of Lynx shower gels and sprays. I found a shop selling the shower gels for 86p and the sprays for £1.95 which is cheaper than I had budgeted.

I bought various other bits and bobs, like face masks to go in hampers and more gold wrapped sweets for the pots of gold. I also treated myself to a new bag and of course it was a bargain. It's an H&M black bag - looks brand new and feels of a really good quality - £2.50 from charity shop :T
    Making money for Christmas 2012!
