I had a good shopping day today and feel much more prepared for Christmas now :) I got some amazing bargains as well!

In the Cancer Research charity shop I bought lots of things! I got 2 Mr Men soft toys for my son, a Mr Tickle and Mr Funny for 75p each. They look brand new and he will love them so much. I think their normal price is around £5, so that's a nice bargain.
I also bought a necklace for my mother-in-law that is very similar to one I saw her admiring recently that cost £20. This one cost £2!
Also in Cancer Research I got a toiletries bag containing unopened hand cream and lots of bathy things like a loofah, spongey thingy etc, all brand new for £1.50. I'm going to include it in my Mum's pamper hamper.

I have made a start on my niece and nephew's hampers too which is the main reason I'm feeling more organised. I'm making a baking hamper for my niece and I bought a mixing bowl, measuring jug, rolling pin, wooden spoon, whisk, cookie cutters, butterfly cake mould and silicone cake cases for the grand total of £5.50! I need to get an apron, some cake decorating items and ingredients. I also need to print out the cake and biscuit recipes I've got from the internet and put them in a decorated folder, then that's done :)
My nephew is 15 and loves toiletries so I've bought him lots of Lynx shower gels and sprays. I found a shop selling the shower gels for 86p and the sprays for £1.95 which is cheaper than I had budgeted.

I bought various other bits and bobs, like face masks to go in hampers and more gold wrapped sweets for the pots of gold. I also treated myself to a new bag and of course it was a bargain. It's an H&M black bag - looks brand new and feels of a really good quality - £2.50 from charity shop :T
I do love charity shops for finding bargain, unusual presents. I found my brother a set of 2 elephant photo holders for £1, sealed in a posh box! He loves elephants and photos so two birds with one stone there! Really unusual id have never found them in another shop. :)
moneysavingmumofone - where did you find the dora stuff at such a good price - i got dora shampoo in my order from 99pence.com but can't find other bits on the cheap!
    Hiya. :)
Im afraid i bought them ages ago, the shampoo and bath paints in wilkos (plus bath foam but i cant find that now lol) and the flannel and bath mitt from boots when they had the sale. :)

  • picked up two more bits today at the local garden centre
grandma fridge magnet 75p instead of £2.99
Anthony name game 1.50 instead of £6

just tried to order stig book from book people with the free delv code but quoted me £!.75 for delivery even though it said the code was accepted
Apparently the free delivery code will only work if you have 2 items in your basket, if you only have one it gives you half price delivery. There are some cheap books you could add like the dr who filofax for £1. :) Ive had to email them as even though the code was accepted ive been charged for delivery!

Peacocks and primark usually have xmas pyjamas but you have to be quick as they sell out quickly! Asda usually has xmas slippers, i got lovely red robin ones either last year or the year before. How about snowman soup and a xmassy curly straw? Not sure where you'd get the straw but the pound shops usually have things like that. :)

Ideal for my nephews as they spend a lot of time at grans. Other designs are available. Looking at Howleys they are out of stock, try toymaster http://www.toymastershop.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/Toymaster/_GRA1154XX/263511/Express%20Train%20Zip%20Bin

I went on a little shoping spree yesterday, i was supposed to be buying an outfit to wear for my birthday. I didnt find anything to wear but did manage to get a few gifts for christmas.

B&M (My new fave shop) was stacking the shelves full of christmas goodies and decorations, i got so excited when i saw it all.

The magnext i-coaster which i bought 2 weeks ago for £25 has now had another £5 knocked off the price so is now £19.99 which is £50 cheaper than tesco's.

Went into debenhams and bought 2 big dinks gift sets (1 x wine glass & bottle of wine, 1 x glass and gordons gin mini), were £12.00 reduced to £6.00 then they had a further 20% off so i paid £4 each (i know the maths dont work but thats what i paid) so thats my 2 new step sisters gifts sorted.

Picked up loads of hair clips and bobbles for my DD in the claires accesories 5 items for £5 sale. I even got some dress up fairy wings that were priced at £5 included in the offer.

A new cheap book shop has just opened so grabbed 11 books for £22 as they were £2 each, had a really good selection and could have easily bought more.

Went into the card factory and got my santa key, 2 letters to santa packs and a santa stop here pack to put into my xmas eve hamper.
They also had the calendar pads for 25p each for those of you wanting to make your own calendar thingy's. I got 3 and the kids are going to make a picture and i''ll add the calendar later.

Then when we came back i finally had the energy and inspiration to get the kids handprint frames done, all 12 of them. I felt a bit cruel forcing Lily's 3 week old hands open to do the prints but they turned out great and at £1 a frame plus a bit of printer ink - an absolute bargain. I'll post a pic later.

At some pont his week i have to find the inspiration to get all my christmas cards made, it's kind of the only thing left i have to do. I shall have to search the card thread for ideas. But i'm not fussed if i dont find the time, cards are cheap enough to buy, so i think i will just concentrate on getting the special one's made and shop buy for everyone else.

Officially i have nothing left to buy, but i dont think i'll be able to stop buying gifts.

But i have been so organised getting everything bought and making loads of handmade stuff that i dont feel the christmas stress for the 1st time ever, i'm actually enjoying the build up this year.

I just need to keep hold of any boxes that cross my path so i can cover them in wrapping paper to make the hampers with. But luckilly i bought loads of the pampers wipes from morrisons and the boxes are a perfect size to use.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
