Cant you just go to the library and use free internet there and wait till he moves out??
Just because hes being a child doesnt mean you have to as well...although I would still be onto the LL - totally their issue to sort out as they are providing the acess - write a letter it usually helps get your point across0 -
go outside to the virgin box open it up(illegal) and unconnect the cable for the modem then just go back inside if u cant have internet then no one can haha0

Is it Virgin fibre or standard Virgin?
Also if he is big then he is slow as that is how they caught all the American hackers in the old days as they where too ft to run away.
Only option is to kill the power but before doing that tie a rope around his door handle to something so he can't get out.
Just standard Virgin.
I think I have a solution. As the housmate is being evicted (july 10th), he's going to be expecting the damage deposit back from the landlord.
Do you think I could bill the landlord for the internet service I'm paying him for but not getting and the landlord in-turn could get his loss back from the damage deposit?
I was also thinking I could also bill the landlord for the overtime I've lost from work by not being able to work from home (I work in IT) as a result of having no connection. Again bill the landolord for this and he can his loss back from the damage deposit?
What do you think? :cool:0 -

The guy wont be responsible for your loss of overtime.
& I doubt he will be held responsible for lack of internet.
If the landlord wanted to ensure it was available to everyone he should of put it somewhere with access to all.Not Again0 -
And by the way you shouldnt of gone into his room. Not Again0

I work in IT and have access to the net during the day. In the evenings I contribute to on-line forums, use Skype to keep in-touch with family & friends, play on-line backgammon (real-time) and also carry out research in areas of development I'm involved with. I'm one of these people who rely on a net connection for many aspects of what I need to do. Sadly a library connection isn't suitable
The LL has been informed and is on my side on this, only that he's out of the country at the moment and can't do anything till he returns0 -

The landlord has a written agreement with the housemate that the internet would not be controlled by any single person and would be available to all.
The guy is denying me a service provided by the LL and my contract is with the LL. If the LL fails to provide me with the service promissed then surley I can bill the LL for the lack of service? and he in-turn can ree-claim his expenses from the housemate as he caused the expense to the LL ?0 -
or u could get a powerful magnet and run it over his hard drive haha0
