    hi guys
trying to buy a voucher on restaurant.com using lucis great code, but in order to register i seem to need to put in a US address. any help?

just put in anything - 89109 is Vegas...it will go through even if it doesn't match your card.

Personally, I like having a photocard licence as you can use it as ID when using a credit or debit card - much better than carrying a passport around IMHO.

I like having a photocard licenece too, as you say, it is convenient - however I don't like having to pay to renew that every 10 years as well as passport renewal costs!

Ah it's all clearer now - thanks.

Tacone - min purchase is $45 & excludes alcohol so wouldn't be of use to us.

I will potter with it & check out the others.

BTW - how does Indian food in the states compare to the UK?

Tacone usually has a $10 cert that you can use for $20 purchases which is what we used.

Restaurant.com email you a link to your certs and as ferf said, you can print them out any time.

I just bought the $10 certs for Cafe Ba Ba Reba and Stripburger as I can't see us spending the $35 needed to use the $25 cert.

I thought that too when I first looked and bought our Stripburger certificate...but when I looked again I saw the burgers don't come with fries...so 2 burgers at $10 plus 2 fries at $5 plus drinks we would have been at $35 I think...even splitting an order of fries we'd be close especially if we got shakes.

    Hi All,

Just after a quick reccommendation really.....

Looking to go to Vegas next Feb and having trouble deciding between the Mirage and the Signature at MGM Grand. Obviously the Mirage has the location and the Signature has the luxury suites which will cost me a few pounds more. Can anyone point me where they would advise staying?

Also, been reading a few bad reviews about the Virgin direct flights from Gatwick. Is it really that bad? I flew on Thomson to the Caribbean last year, is it any worse than that, apart from obviously being a longer flight?! Also, is it worth the upgrade to premium economy?

    Look forward to your replies.

    Thanks.

    Rob
I returned yesterday from LV on a Virgin flight and can't really find anything to grumble about. Having read plenty of comments (some good, most bad) I was a bit dubious of what to expect but can honestly say it was fine. Perhaps as this was our first time flying anywhere other than London then our expectations were lower than other more seasoned travellers but I still feel that for what we paid it was perfectly ok. Food was fine, not outstanding but it was an airline meal after all and still perfectly edible with plenty of it. IFE on way out was playing up but both kids were too excited to really care. Even son at 6'2" didn't complain about legroom which I had thought might be uncomfortable for him. Over all I'd do it again tomorrow (if only I could!)

I suppose being American and having had to renew my driving licence every 4 years from the time I was 16 to 31 (and also when I moved states)...so £17.50 every 10 years vs $25 every 4 years doesn't seem too bad to me. :)

That's it in a nutshell. Beleive me, when you do get the chance to fly with another airline, like the U.S. ones that have adult FA's, then you WILL notice the difference. Or if you fly on a VA plane from LHR
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Hi,
new to posting but have spent the last week trawling through the very informative posts. I have one question to ask regarding bars. My husband and I have heard about Voodoo in the Rio and was wondering when it would be best/ cheapest to go there or if there are better bars to visit ( preferably ones that are not pretentious ). Any help would be appreciated.
AFAIK Voodoo is free until 9pm. Try the Ghost bar in Palms as well, that's free too until a certain time. As far as finding one that's not pretentious, that is a tall order in Vegas.:rotfl:
    There is always Ellis Island!!!
