AugustHi,
new to posting but have spent the last week trawling through the very informative posts. I have one question to ask regarding bars. My husband and I have heard about Voodoo in the Rio and was wondering when it would be best/ cheapest to go there or if there are better bars to visit ( preferably ones that are not pretentious ). Any help would be appreciated.0 -

You can print out free passes here:

They do have restrictions though.
But pretty sure people have said it's free to get in early...we keep meaning to go before sunset to check it out but still haven't managed it. Views are stunning from the photos I've seen.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberI think the Voodoo Lounge is free before 8pm and long trousers are required. We managed to stay till sunset without buying a drink. It wouldn't be the cheapest as I think the drinks prices are the standard (expensive) price. I think their signaure Witch Doctor cocktail, which is big enough for 2, is about $25.0

September80% off code for www.restaurant.com is PORTION
They have certs for Cafe Baba Reba and Stripburger at the moment as I have just bought one of each for a total of $1.60! These are like hen's teeth as they are usually sold out.
I've never used this site before - do you download your voucher straight away or can you store on their site until you need it?
We also grabbed a few snacks at Tacone too when we stayed at Planet Hollywood so might get a voucher or 2 for there too.0 -

You can only use 1 voucher per party, per month, per restaurant
Check the T&C's for each individual restaurant you are looking for, some have minimum spend levels, excl taxes, gratuities0 -

Ah it's all clearer now - thanks.
Tacone - min purchase is $45 & excludes alcohol so wouldn't be of use to us.
I will potter with it & check out the others.
BTW - how does Indian food in the states compare to the UK?0 -

As a general rule, it's rubbish...I suppose in larger cities where there's a decent selection some might be OK but mostly we've been unimpressed and avoid it.
But one of the best Indian restaurants we've ever been to is Origin India in Vegas - across the street from Hard Rock. Of course, it was started and run by a Brit with a restaurant in London. They are on restaurant.com which is how we found them. They do add a gratuity (20% I think) to the pre-voucher total which annoys some people but we thought the food and service warranted that sort of tip anyway (would probably have tipped more) so it was fine with us.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

They're stored in your online account at restaurant.com and you can print them whenever (and you can print multiple copies of the same one in case you lose the first print out). They are good for a year from the date you purchased them.
The site does NOT keep track of which ones you use though - you have to do that manually if you want...you don't have to, but it's helpful to mark the used ones used so you don't get confused -especially if you have several of them.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
