thanks, missed that small menu bit. Prices comparable?

Stoneman here's a sample menu with prices which should give you an idea on costs:

You can't book a table on the patio in advance, you can only request it when making your reservation.

  • Right.....we've done it!

Everything is now booked (subject to change as ever with Vegas)

5 nights @ the Luxor, 2 nights in a Panorama Suite @ Planet Hollywood.

Then 7 nights in Orlando to try and get over it all!!

Has anyone stayed in a Panorama Suite @ PH. Any opinions? First choice was a 1 BR suite at Palms Place, but there still aren't any offers out for September. Had Palazzo booked, but fancied something a bit 'younger'. Stayed Luxor last time and really liked it as a good value base.

Only problem is that it is still 7 weeks away!

    ARGH!!!

Cool, thanks for the info. We have been looking on the booking site and tickets are available without wait now so we will just book them when we arrive. Also hoping to see Jersey Boys and Terry Fator but D & M is the main one.

Donny and Marie tickets aren't available at the cheap on the day booths and sell out most nights in advance so you'll pay the same but get the leavings if you wait. It's one to prebook especially as demand will increase even more as Donny is doing Dancing with the Stars (US Strictly Come Dancing) this autumn.

EDIT <Cough, cough-Of course the Clebs in Dancing with the Stars aren't announced til later this month> D&M is usually dark Sundays and Mondays but in September and October is also dark on Tuesdays so with fewer shows and their show getting more mentions on TV if you're going over that time prebooking is probably a good idea.

I have read on another board that D&M tickets have been available at T4T. Not on a regular basis and you would be very lucky to get them there, but they have been available.

If it's a show that you really want to see I would book as early as possible to get the best seats available.

I booked about 4 months in advance and was disappointed when the confirmation said we were in Row 28 as it seemed so far back. It should have said Table 28 as we were in the first row after the Golden Circle and they were great seats.

Have finally got round to thanking Trets in the first few posts on Page 1. Thought I'd already done it, but my memory was playing tricks.

I think the info on Page 1 is a brilliant resource for Brits going to Vegas for the first time and I often point newbies on other boards to it.

(luci, I think it somehow rest on page 1, as I'm sure I would have thanked it too, I thank everything 'useful' on the thread :rotfl:)

stoneman - we had a delicious sweet potato flatbread to share as a starter at Olives, was great!

Mrs Hedgehog/baseborn - sorry I've not stayed at either Luxor or PH. Other people on the board have though, so an answer will come along for you :) Personally, I'd happy book either of these without any worry. Luxor isn't as nice as some of the others on the strip, but I'd prob stay there at the right price.

Well hav bitten the bullet and booked 5 nights at MGM and 2 nights at Luxor. Used a link to book the MGM $331 for 5 nights :j bargain( I think works out about £200 including taxes etc.) Really excited now as only 3 weeks so will be watching and reading this thread with interest so any tips would be appreciated.

That's great MrsHedgehog. I'm sure that you'll enjoy both. I would still keep an eye on any offers between now and then (if your hotel offer is able to be cancelled without penalty). I've changed my hotels with 2 days to go as some great offers came up :)
