I stayed in the Luxor 2 years ago and the room was a good standard. I think it was a Players room in the East Tower rather than the Pyramid.

The thing to bear in mind with Luxor is that rooms in the pyramid will have a sloping wall so the feel of the room will be a bit smaller.

    Evening

Newbie here. We are going to fly out Sunday 30th August and return following Sunday. I have followed a link and can get a good deal at MGM Grand bu not for all of our stay. Please can someone give me an honest opinion as to the Luxor as I have read so many conflicting reviews I'm not sure now.

    Thanks

    Lesley

We stayed at the Luxor at the end of July. We loved it and had a great time. I've read some bad reviews on the internet, but in our experience they are unfounded. We stayed in a Tower room. Good size, clean, comfortable. The casino has a better atmosphere than most we played in. If the check out queues are long (which we did notice they were at times), go to the check in desks at the West Tower (Lower Level). These were always empty!

We'd stay there again, no problem.

just booked for love on the " get 2nd ticket for $25 " deal that was listed on here. again would like to thank everyone on this thread for their help and tips -- these have helped greatly as we have put our trip together. we have about twelve weeks to go before our trip and starting to get excited especially as were now starting to finalise bookings and tickets.
just one question though. we have hired a car through hertz while were there. was looking today and it said uk driving licience holders need both parts of their driving licience. as i have old style with just paper part will i have any problems?
    thanks in advance
    yorkie.

you'll be fine with just a paper licence if that is all you have, but be sure to have your passport with you as well as they will want photo ID to prove you are who the paper licence says you are.

Personally, I like having a photocard licence as you can use it as ID when using a credit or debit card - much better than carrying a passport around IMHO.

They have certs for Cafe Baba Reba and Stripburger at the moment as I have just bought one of each for a total of $1.60! These are like hen's teeth as they are usually sold out.

this is not Vegas-specific, but as I learned about Fly Flots here, thought I would mention that shoe-shop.com has a big sale on about a million different styles....quidco too. :)

I've never been to Stripburger but looked at the menu and it looks like the sort of place we'd like - so thanks! Look forward to trying it.

Just wanted to say what a great thread :D Just booked to go for my 21st in April... will celebrate in style!! I simply can't wait to get on them rides @ stratosphere... Now to decide if its worth booking the grand canyon over night trip, costs almost as much as the weeks holiday!!! Plenty of time to plan though ha
