October , NovemberHi guys.
I have been reading the forum since Jan researching a planned trip for Nov. Having read all Part 1 & now into Part 2 i have mustered up the courage to ask some questions having fully done my research.
I went to Vegas last year on a package deal (I know i got ripped off!!) but thanks to this site i feel better informed to do things the more financially viable way now!!
I am lookin to go 11 Nov to 18 Nov (for Pac V Cotto boxing, so i know rates will increase for the weekend), i am flyin from Manc to LAS and have found the best flight deal using the relevant channels advised in the thread as US Airways departing Manc, stopping at Phily & then on to Vegas & same on return for £363.
No i know hotel deals do not come out for Nov until 12 weeks or so before but i'm looking to stay at maybe MGM, Luxor, price range but have estimated circa $1000 or maybe a little more for 7 nights for a room ($500 each).
But i have now found a deal on expedia going on the same flights as planned for £665 staying at the Bellagio!!!! Little less for Caesars.
I would like some advice on wheteher to take the Expedia deal or hold on for better room rates (Don't think i'll get a better one for Bellagio in delux room for £300?) and just book the flight??
All help would be appreciated.

Hi all,
Not posted for a while but I have been keeping up to date.
I've found another new attraction due to open soon at the MGM Grand possibly by the end of the summer. CSI: The Experience.
"The attraction presents visitors with several crime scenes and clues they can use to crack the case without leaving the comfort of MGM Grand"
Here's the link to the story with a lot more details.

So any CSI fans out there want to try this out????

December ( including Xmas and New Year )If its just you, Expedia will load a single person supplement of a few hundred more. Otherwise Expedias a good deal....but you wont get a fountain view without a $20 upgrade voucher.illegitimi non carborundum0

SeptemberHi and welcome to the forum!
I don't think you should confuse the issue by quoting accommodation rate per person. Room rate for Vegas are per room, not per person.
Your £300pp is £600 for 2 people = $990. That is an average of $142/night. Assuming $200/night at the weekend then that's $118 weekdays. The Bellagio has had rates as low as $89/night recently.
There are various offers for the MGM from $49 on www.smartervegas.com The rates will be high at the MGM and surrounding hotels for that weekend due to the fight.
If you book with Expedia the you are pretty much lock into the rate and can't take advantage of any offers you may see later.
Personally I would price up various hotels using the offers on Smarter Vegas and Fat Wallet. You should be able to get the Bellagio for the same price as Expedia, if not a bit less, booking direct and then you can monitor rates and change your booking if you find something better.0 -

Hi & welcome.
I assume there are 2 of you travelling & sharing a room?
The deal you mentioned on Expedia is currently £660pp - £1320 for you both. The reason that this price is so good is that there is a "get the 5th night free" promo with your dates.
There is a good promo code for the Bellagio on Fatwallet at present:
https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=190&host=offer&code=BPEROF
If you book your 1st 2 nights using the above would cost you $218 - approx. £137.
If you booked your flights & your last 5 nights accomodation using Expedia it would cost you £580pp - £1160 for both. Add your Bellagio costs gives you £1297 for the trip.
There is also a recommend a friend promo with a £20 discount with Expedia - anyone from here could email it to you:
http://www.referafriend.expedia.co.uk/
Using this your trip would be £1277 all in & you may get 3.5% cashback if you use Quidco too.
If you wanted to save more you could book the Luxor for 4 night & flights through Expedia & then use the deal above for the last 3 nights at the Bellagio. Or, if you were happy with that kind of budget you could stay at the Palazzo for 4 then the Bellagio for 3 - honestly the permutations are endless in terms of accomodation deals.
There are deals aplenty at the minute as folk have already mentioned.
Personally I think the Bellagio deal is good value but in the end it's down to you - will you be happy paying with this price?0 -
October , NovemberThanks for the replies people!!!
There are 6 of us going so 3 x 2 people in a room.
The people i'm going with would prefer to stay in the one hotel & not change mid trip.
i've looked on Fatwallet & Smarter vegas & can't find a better deal at present than the £300 per person per room that Expedia are giving me. From the research i have done i doubt i can get a cheaper room in the Bellagio than $1000 for 7 nights at present. Please advise me if in your opinion i can.
The £660 per person on expedia is inclusive of flights too0 -

Hi again,
Based on the fact your happy with the 1 hotel for the duration all you need to do is decide which hotel - like I said loads to choose from.
If the Bellagio suits you then go for it but use the codes above & you'll get the lot for £636.50pp + remember QUIDCO.0 -

it sounds a reasonable deal to me , so it's just a case of if your happy with the price ( you cannot be anything but happy with the hotel choice !:D) .
if you wait you might get a better deal nearer the time , but then again you might not . it's all how flexi your prepared to be and how much your prepared to risk losing out on this deal . for sure you will almost certainly get something @ this price if you wait , but it might not be the Bellagio .
US Airways flights connecting in Philly is one i have done . Philly Airport is a okay airport and the flight is not top notch Quality in terms of IFE or free drinks ect , but the seats are comfy and biggest plus (for us at least) is you can 2 seats on their own easily enough .
like others have said Don't Forget to QUIDCO if you do use ExpediaBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

It certainly appeals to us and as you know we loved Mystery Adventures...my only reservation is this line:
After visiting the crime scenes, guests will go to a replica of the office of former lead CSI character Gil Grissom, where they will use touch-screens to answer questions in an attempt to solve the crimes.
I suppose one of the things I liked most about Mystery Adventures was actually being at the 'crime scenes' and poking around and going back and looking at things, and picking things up and all of that.
But we will try it certainly - $30 per person is less than Mystery Adventures, though that can last 2-3 hours (or more)...will be interesting to see how this compares...it will be hard to impress me after MA, but we shall see.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
