December ( including Xmas and New Year )dorsetjohn wrote: »Hello
From recent experience , which is the cheapest ATM for cash withdrawels from hotels on the strip . I plan to use my nationwide flex account . I read a recent post here about the casino royale for $1 fee (dont know how recent his visit was) instead of the usual $4.99 from other hotels
As said Guys recent personal experiences please
thanks in advance
also make sure your bank is aware you are travelling, or they may block your card, thinking its a fraudulent transaction0 -

The one at Ellis Island is also cheap - $1.50 or $2...though one time when we looked the MAXIMUM withdrawal was $200...which meant that it wasn't actually any cheaper than withdrawing at our home base of Ballys if we wanted to take out $500.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

We are going in November and this will be my first time in Vegas. I'll also look for discount codes.
We've been quoted 7 nights at the IP with return direct flights at £1,983 for the 4 of us :j
What date in November are you thinking of going? If it's over the weekend of the 14th you'd better get booking something direct now with a rate you're happy with. A Manny Pacquio fight has just been announced for that weekend and rates for all strip hotels will rocket.0 -

I agree with Wammer on checking the prices to book direct and compare against any package deals you may be looking at...also, there's a big convention early November (3rd to the 6th) with 110,000 attendees - so rates may be high that period and it will be very crowded. We used to go that week - did so for several years, but last year and this year the convention scared us off...even if hotel rates are still reasonable, it's chaos with so many extra people around.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
AugustBest time to go is of course all personal , some people might like 40c+ temps . however when we went in April we had nice but not overpowering weather .
Price should be good for flights as long as you avoid Easter ect . and as for rooms should be no problem price wise as long as you avoid any big conventions , events ( none instantly spring to mind as regards April )
Even Easter can be reasonable. We paid £330 for NW flights flying from Heathrow Good Friday this year and found a deal that got us a Go room at the Flamingo for $40 (free upgrade from deluxe room price)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

As for hotels, would people recommend staying at the IP? Tripadvisor praises it highly for the location and cheap price compared to other venues such as Ballys.
I'd appreciate your wisdom
the location is spot on.. we didnt spend much time there so wouldnt see the need for paying extra personally.. some do like their luxury tho, my sis wouldn't dream of any hotel less than a 5* - I see it more as a room to sleep, shower and dump my stuff0 -

Well you'd better waste no more time and get booking. The IP has jumped from $254 to $370 for that week. If you book direct with the hotel you will only pay the first night's deposit and can have it refunded if you cancel at least 72 hours before arrival.
If the rate comes down you can call and get it adjusted.0 -

If you go through Harrahs Hot Deals you can still get a Deluxe room at IP for the week for $279 plus tax...that's for 2 adults though - if you have 2 adults and 2 kids it jumps to a whopping $699...so as was previously suggested, you may want to get 2 rooms.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
