Trets77, How long is it since you flew with them? They do have seat back entertainment on the transatlantic legs. It is VOD, so you can watch what you like when you like. All the soft drinks are free too. I don't drink alcohol when I'm flying anyway.

crikey nearly 2 years when i work it out :o:o:o:o.

    seems like last week though

not sure if this really would interest anyone here, but maybe.

    MGM's new 'VIP club'.

    http://www.mgmgrand.com/prima/

From what I read, you charge your 'Prima' account with $500 when you arrive to spend at least that amount in MGM properties on various things during your stay (no refund if you don't spend it all). You charge things to the room and they are paid by your Prima account. In return you get various VIP benefits...some of which will have some value to some people and won't to others.

I haven't checked how the room rates booking under Prima compare to other deals out there - but maybe for a few people it would be worthwhile if the benefits have enough value.

This could be quite good.....there are some $48 nights towards the end of the year, and its an upgrade to Bungalow suite or Celebrity Spa suite......anyone been in these? Do you think I can charge tourney buyins to my $500 Prima card? WHere does it say the $500 can be spent at all MGM props....Im blind I think?

The T&Cs explain it a lot better than the main pages do...doubt you could charge tourney buy-ins though...I think their intention is to guarantee you'll spend (or at least they will get) $500 in non-gaming revenue.

Sorry, should have said that the last point - 19 - specifies that the Prima spending account is available for use at all MGM owned or operated outlets which accept room charges - so anywhere you can charge something to your room would (at least as I read it) count toward the $500. Can you charge tourney buy-ins to your room? I honestly don't know.

The upgrade is subject to availability though - and they have the right to give you a $50 activity credit instead...so I wouldn't book it unless you were OK with not getting the upgrade. :)

Look at the wording closely. It says MGM Grand owned or operated outlets. To me, that does not mean Mirage, MBay etc. They are part of the MGM Mirage group, as is MGM Grand. How do you read it?

Ah - you may be right - I'd mentally glossed over the 'Grand'...since things like the limo mentioned other properties - but reading it again, it says return limo from MGM Grand to and then it lists other MGM owned properties.

So yeah, re-reading I think you are right - that the $500 has to be spent at MGM Grand and not the sister properties. Apologies for the error. :)

We stayed in the Clebrity Spa for 3 nights last March. We enjoyed our stay there & would stay again if the price was right.

I've just checked back & we paid £80 er night including tax.

The rooms are large & comfortable &the bathroom is massive. From memory you also have you own sink & fridge which is ideal for making up or storing drinks.

The only downside is we felt that they showed their age a little but we had just spent the 2 previous nights in the Venetian.

I have may have some pics if it helps.
