Thanks Luci, we did know it was a la carte but the choices for vegetables to order was very limited, mushrooms, asparagus and green beans the only options!

Mrs Goingonholiday did cash at the venetian but didn't win it so back to the 9 - 5 when we get home. I'll post another report later...

Yes I agree that the choice of vegetables at Bally's Steakhouse is very limited.

Not sure how long it's been in London, but we saw it 2 or 3 years ago...I really loved it, though I thought it was overly long...I was stunned that they were running the whole show in Vegas as they normally cut shows down to 90 mins.

the lion king is the full show in vegas minus 2 of the lesser known songs
it is almost idenitcal to the london production
i thought it was ok, not as good as phantom. main problem was the theatre layout and accustics

What restaurant would people recommend for dinner on christmas day? I'm planning on going to see Le Reve at the Wynn so somewhere close to there would be good.

That's exactly what my OH said, that he couldn't listen to it as the acoustics were so bad.

Give us a budget in $ per head and do you mean dinner (evening) or lunch (afternoon)?

There are some high end restaurants at Wynn and Encore, but they may not be what you are looking for.

How far is the walk from the Flamingo to Ellis Island -I know it isn't far but not sure how close. Directions for the directionally challenged would be good too :)

    if you go here http://www.aaa.com/scripts/WebObjects.dll/ZipCode.woa/wa/route?rclub=065&stop=yes&rurl=http://www.ouraaa.com/discounts/sycs/
and put in the zip code of the place you are staying, then click Discounts at the top of the next page, the following page has a list of different types of discounts (entertainment, restaurants, etc) down the righthand side.
The arrangement with AAA is meant to be reciprocal but I've never tried it. Would be interested to know if anyone has.
