    Hi,

Is it worth buying the 2009 voucher booklet? If so, do you have a link?

Is there a similar booklet for reduced entry fee's into clubs?

Last one, for people who have been recently, what are the best shows to watch out there? I was hoping to watch a Magic show and Aacrobatics. I heard Cris Angel has a show out there - any good?

Maybe go back to page 124 - I think there have been answers given before that may help.

"The Hotels on the strip to be most wary about are unsurprisingly the cheapest. They are Circus Circus , The Stratosphere , The Rivera , Sahara , The IP , Excalibur ,Hooters and The Tropicanna . post for some advice before booking"

    What exactly does this mean???

Seen a decent price on a package deal with the Riviera...

be wary as you do get what you pay for with the above places
also with a good bit of deal hunting (smartervegas.com) i found you could get a decentroom with food offers etc for not much more
on a budget would reccomend flamingo, drai's. or if going down for partying consider downtown

seeing as i wrote it i will explain .

The Rivera is one of the oldest hotel / casino's on the strip , hence it no longer compete's in terms of quality to the big new and modern casino's. It's posters/ advertising outside are aimed at locals who gamble a lot .

also the Location is not brilliant . i personally would not walk to it from say the Wynn and it is a tad uneasy in the void between The Wynn to there after dark . ( someone on this thread a few years ago got mugged very late at night in this area ) . since The Stardust got imploded it kinda feels like it is a bit isolated

not stayed there so no expert , but the rooms don't get raved about.

it might be a great deal for you though , it all depends on what you want out of where you are staying .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Have you tried pricing it up separately instead of as a package? I agree with all that ratkarth and trets said...if they were my only options, I would stay at Riviera over CC, Strat, Hooters and Tropicana though.

Looking at the photos on tripadvisor, I'm pretty sure you could do worse, but it's possible you could do a lot better for not a lot more (edited to add - though looking further, it's pretty obvious that a lot of the photos are of the renovated rooms - there are some of rooms that are quite a bit older)...just really depends on what you're looking at.

Or, you can get the likes of Luxor for maybe $40 a night midweek.....not everyones cuppa but in a league above the ones mentionned above. Also MGM generally available for $50 midweek......Im pretty sure that rate once came with unlimited buffet. Use fatwallet for deals.

I like the Riviera -stayed there twice and always got a free upgrade. The Deuce stops right outside although I've walked several times down to the Flamingo from there.
The Sahara is very reasonable and has the additional advantage of the monorail although when cost is crucial my favourite hotel to stay at is the Orleans.
Prices will be the same or less but the rooms are bigger and it has fab facilities. It also has a regular (every 20 minutes) free shuttle to mid strip from 09.30am til midnight so would cost you nothing to get into the action unlike the far end of the strip hotels (and probably in the same or less time). The buffet is really good and an absolute bargain too.

Not strictly Vegas but anyone wanting to see Donny & Marie might want to watch this as its supposedly based on their Vegas Show...

An Audience with Donny and Marie
The Osmond siblings entertain a celebrity crowd in a programme based on their Las Vegas stage show, singing old favourites and new songs, including 1972 hit Crazy Horses, and Vegas Love, from their forthcoming album. Donny and Marie also present a Broadway medley and take questions from the audience SUB
