Hey everyone I'm One Very Happy Girl! :):):):) as we are looking to book Vegas again next year (whoooo so excited) more than likely we will be looking to stop at Signature again as we love the place we like to spend sometime by the pool and love the fact we can use the Sig pools and the MGM Grand pools as well. Anyway back to my question... If I booked direct with the hotel now would they honour any deals that come out in the mean time if we spoke to them? I am sure I have read this somewhere before but then am thinking it sounds to good to be true?!

Also re flights (Virgin - BA) are we best to wait till New Year now (will they have sales then) or book as soon as poss?

Great news Cand. As long as you book a refundable offer, you always have the option to cancel and book another offer. Generally, if the price drops, you can call the hotel and ask for the cheaper rate to save you from actually needing to cancel and re-book. I've done this a couple of times in the past with no problems at all.
When are you going next year?

    Hello everyone!

Nice to see lots of familiar faces still on here and some lovely new faces with new tips etc! Hope you have all been enjoying your Vegas trips this year!

I have endured my year long vegas drought (IE - havent been since July 08 now) BUT am now officially researching my June/July 2010 trip! Yeah!

SO - any tips on flight sales? I will be flying 30 June 2010 to 14 July 2010 and have already seen that MOST current sales DO NOT include my dates - so I was wondering if any of you come across any sales from Manchester to Vegas for those dates to let me know? Thanks in advance!

I am impressed with the new BA direct route from heathrow to vegas (even though I am a northern lass and fly from MAN) however, their cheapest flights for my dates are still above £1k so I may wait and see if they extend their sale dates.

I tend to end up paying circa £800 in the sales (for two) either with AA, Delta, NWA or Thomas Cook - if anyone has any new hints/tips please keep me informed - thanks.

I will definately stay at my old haunt "The Orleans" (with a few treat nights at the Wynn/Encore). Duchy et al - hows things there at mo - any improvements etc? I read about the change in route on the shuttle but thats not a problem at all!

Anyway - will go for now (this post is getting big) - Hello again and thanks again to trets for a great thread!

December ( including Xmas and New Year )
Steff - try going via Amsterdam and avoiding the long haul APT tax. Dunno about Paris to LAS......Man to St Pancras is 2 hours and a bit, and then pick up the Eurostar to Paris.

You will be very lucky to get sales from Virgin/BA for the time you want. Book them now, dont look at prices everytime your online, and look forward to knowing your going to Vegas and the flights are booked.

Thanks Dan_S, Virgin do do a NY sale though dont they, but does it just include certain dates? Cant book the flights yet as the dates we are looking at just arent there yet but as close as they could be haha. Also from the Virgin flights we have taken and point bulit up elsewhere we now have quite a few, when you search online for the miles + money option it takes about 2000 miles (I think) if you call them up can you get more off for more miles or do they put limits on? Hope that makes sense!

I am not sure about the NY sale. We always book way in advance and have never seen our dates in the sale.
Miles plus money - you can only spend 2000 miles at a time for economy i think. It usually saves you about £50. Worth doing.

Sign up for emails from Luxury Suites International. I got an email from them recently with rates for the Signature from $79. They do charge a fee if you change your booking, but if you got a really low rate like that then it would be unlikely to get any cheaper.

We were really lucky. When BA had their sale at the beginning of July they had dates up until about June next year.

The prices were £359 from LHR and we apid £470 with the ABZ-LHR connection which I'm more than happy with.

They've had another sale since then, but the dates didn't go nearly so far into next year.

Personally, I would hold off to see if they have a sale in January.

Thomas Cook might be your other option. They have decent seat pitch. Their baggage allowance used to let them down, but now that all carriers have change to one bag instead of two that isn't a concern.
