Hello. I just thought I'd check in. We're almost half way through our Vegas trip. Don't know where the time has gone. It goes without saying that we're having a good time.

Gosh - that has gone fast!! Glad you guys are having a good time.

Saw this at Open Vegas - $10 off $25 food and beverage order at Rainforest Cafe until the end of the year.

Thanks ferf1223. The deal is for get 3rd night free. The third night is for 30 December which is an arm and a leg not as bad as NY eve but dear enough. I'd got the $90 a night deal at Bellagio but they wouldn't let me have the 30th for less than $359 plus taxes!!! So I booked the Golden Nugget as we are spending a couple of nights there between MGM and Bellagio, but then I booked Bette Midler show for 30th and didn't fancy having to go back to GN after show as its our last night so decided to try to book on the Strip. So anyway I've done it thru expedia now as they've matched vegas.com for price. Mandalay Bay direct was far more expensive. So three nights for £148 TOTAL amount Great result. So I'll just cancel our last 2 nights at Bellagio and 1 at GNugget and I think I'll be happy. Well BA permitting that is. I'm definitely getting a bit worried about them now the union has gone to High Court for injunction

OK, well...Mandalay Bay do have a best rate guarantee so you could probably have booked direct with the hotel...but sounds like you got a good rate.

Missed that when on their site. Oh well I'm happy with what I've got and I can change it or cancel it if needed.

Just done online check in for Virgin flight tomorrow, to find that our previously chosen seats have been altered to rows 61 and 62, which are the two of the four rows of two seats at the back of the plane. These are the rows we would have liked to choose, but were unavailable previously.

    Officially getting excited now.

that's excellent, CAE! We really love those pairs and you have to be pretty lucky (or book really, reaaaaally early) to get them normally - unless they're on the planes where they're extra leg room seats - in which case you have to get to check-in really early and pay extra for them.

What a nice surprise for you and an excellent start to your trip!

Just had a look on British Airways website and you can now pay extra to check in 4-10 days before your flight, instead of just 24 hours before. Bit cheeky considering with Virgin you can pick seats (although not guaranteed) as soon as you book....... Boo to BA!
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
