SeptemberIt might be cool overnight in the GC, but in the day it's warm. Last week it was 40+ when we were there. I haven't heard from my OH's parents but they're out there at the moment and were expecting it to be warm... if we hear from them before Weds (I hope we will!) then I will find out what the temps are like for you.0

The charges for excess weight will be on the Thomas Cook website. They are correct as far as I know. (A friend got hammered by the charges recently.)
I just checked and it looks like $22 per kilo.0 -

You can find the 10-day forecast here.

At present it is showing temps below freezing as the lows - so I would absolutely be packing some warm clothes!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Hi, we are going to Las Vegas on Saturday, we would like to visit the Grand Canyon preferably helicopter / plane etc. Any advice if we should book on line before we go or wait till we get there? Also any company / tour is best or recommended? Thanks.0

Hi,
I can only comment on our own experience. We used a company called Pappilon and booked it here before we travelled but there are several places on the strip where you can book trips although I can't comment on prices.
The company phoned us at our hotel the day before just to confirm the details.
We paid approx. £298 for 2 of us to do the Grand Celebration Tour - we went on the first flight of the day (07:00). We were advised to do this as it can be a little windy in the afternoons.
Also, if possible go as early as you can into the trip in case of trip cancellations.

My other tip - make sure your camera has a full charge or new batteries - ours went flat 2mins after we took off
We've been back from Vegas for 1 week now, our 3rd time in 18months & all we keep talking about is Vegas -it does that to you!!0
