SeptemberAs Day One was well received, rather than filling up the thread with my ramblings, I might as well upload it and put a link to my trip report.

October , NovemberGreat read. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. I'm counting the days to our departure on 14 Dec. What's the new City Center looking like. I'm hoping to be going to the cirque de soleil Elvis there but can't find much detail or booking info yet, and was wondering if perhaps they are not on schedule for December opening.0

What a great trip report, really enjoyed reading it with all the details.
Thanks very much for taking the time to do it.

PS. I've had the 30th anniversary cheesecake from the cheesecake factory, I won't upset you by telling you how nice it was!:rotfl:0 -

Looking at it, I think that December should be just about do-able. It's coming together pretty quickly; although it was still mostly a building site. There's a new walkway over the Strip from PH to CC which I think will be completed in the next few weeks.
I'll pop some pics up where you can see CC at the side to give you an idea...0 -

I really don't like you now
Actually, whilst planning next year's trip it has been deemed that the CF is on the cards again; mostly because S wants to have the banana thing (eurgh) and so I can indulge myself in a vile chocolate affair.
I read today that Nevada are allowing same-sex partnership unions as of yesterday; the irony is that all our friends and family thought we'd get married whilst we were out there (in fact we have a civil partnership planned for next year, and it looks like Vegas will be our treat afterwards now). Maybe I'll see about getting a second ceremony whilst we're out there; just because we can!0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

SeptemberPhotos now added to Flickr... well, a selected few of them anyway.
There are some shots with City Center in but obviously I didn't want to take photos of a building site so tried to avoid it in most of my pictures!

October , NovemberGoing to save the TR for a bit later, indiegirl, but really looking forward to reading it!
And yes, really had a nice meet with Luci and her OH - I'm really quite shy by nature and I felt comfortable with them almost immediately whiich doesn't normally happen and we chatted away for quite awhile - time went so quick - couldn't believe it had been 90 minutes. Really nice people and very glad that we had a chance to hang out for a bit.
Pebbles - one of these years we'll coordinate our trips better! Would be really nice to meet up again.
Had Austin's for dinner last night on the last day of the 2-for-1 entree offer...both had the filet mignon plus 3 sides between us and total before tip was $64. That's just silly. The steaks were absolutely amazing - I used to love the ribeye but think the filet is much better.
The slots are being quite evil to us this trip - though last night my husband had 2 wins of $220+ on the same machine (Carnival of Mystery) which helped us out a bit.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
