I'll try and register as a new user and see what happens.
Do you all just stick to one or have reward cards for all of them?
I've checked Planet Hollywoods website and it looks like theirs can only be used in that hotel so I'm just wondering if its best to join both or just stick to gambling in the ones that take TR.
I completely forgot to join again when I was there last week and only realised when I read about them on this thread a few days ago!
We've joined most of them if just for the free slot play and vouchers you can get for joining...we normally use our cards several places but really only carry Harrahs, MGM, PH (because we're there a lot because we're close by staying at Bally's), Wynn and Station casinos...otherwise we'll grab the others if we know we'll be somewhere that day but won't have them with us all the time. Some will say you should limit your gambling to one group of properties that use the same card as you get maximum value from them that way - but we don't. We like to play where we want to play when we want to play and if we earn any comps for it, then great and if not, that's OK too.
We get the most value out of Harrah's TR - we do play at their properties quite a lot but we don't limit ourselves to them by any means.
If you're staying at PH, you may as well join and use the card - then before you check out ask if you've earned any comps...you never know.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Thanks for your help Ferf
I usually stop and have a flutter on the slots in every casino we walk through so I might as well join PH and TR at least.
If I can earn some comps thats another way I can persuade OH to go again next year:rotfl:0 -
SeptemberNot sure what the current new member offers are at PH, but if you keep your receipt from the Spice Market and join the A-List you get $15 free slot play.
David, I am so chuffed that you finally managed to get the extra 2 nights booked as you are obviously not ready to go home. I'm sure you'll like MGM. It's so different being at that end of the strip.0 -
October , NovemberThanks for that Luci. A couple of our party aren't already members at PH, so we will check that offer our for certain.0

A special thanks to you Luci for talking me through the immagration/luggage process over the phone - convinced me to go for it.
We stayed t MGM last year it was good - had a celebrity suite but this is just a standard deluxe - as if we care we're still here!!!
We'll just use Venetian pool tomorrow as usual then hit Stat for lunch then the Premium Outlet before heading down to the MGM.
So am I right in thinking I can buy any liquids on the Vegas - Philly flight now?0 -

I don't even know why we didn't to be honest. I think it the British mentality of thinking holidays are either 7/10/14 days.
We have an extra day to recover too because of the holiday weekend.
Anyway the MGM price is great we're well chuffed with that and free net access is with that too.
Bye for now.0 -

Aw you're welcome David. I didn't like to think of you abandoning the idea for the wrong reasons.
Not 100% sure what you mean about liquids. If you mean can you buy a bottle of vodka at LAS duty free and take it in your hand luggage back to Glasgow then no. The 100ml (or 3oz in the US) rule still applies and you will have to go through security again at Philly. However you should be able to buy at Philly and take it back.0 -
MarchI have a question on how much each hotel PRE-AUTH on your credit/debit card per night as I have a lowish limit and will travel with mostly cash.
I know the Wynn pre authorises 200 dollars per night.Venetian? Bellagio? Mgm Grand? TI?0 -
SeptemberYou would need to call the hotels or check their websites.
If you don't want anything pre-authorised and you don't want to charge anything to the room you can tell them at check in that you don't want any charging privileges. However you may have to pay for the stay in full at check in.0 -
AugustI know you didn't mention the Harrah's group but they have a new policy instead of $100/$200 a night if you have prepaid the stay they don't take a deposit if you don't want chargeback to the room. We did this then realised we wanted internet access so I paid a smaller cash deposit and they refunded the difference at checkout.
I think all Vegas hotels will accept a cash deposit instead of card too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
