Looking at flights first, we ideally need to fly from Manchester or Glasgow, have looked at the direct flight with Thomas Cook from Manchester and price is around 420-450 depending on dates and when I have searched!! Is now the time to book flights or are we too early as some sites don't show dates after December yet??
We booked flights at the end of last month for next June through US Airways. Its a changeover in Philli, but we got them for about £365 each.
Thats from Manchester and i found them through Kayak.0 -
SeptemberWe were at Denny's about 2pm and it was dead. Went back last night about 8 and it still wasn't that busy. I guess breakfast will be really busy.
Got talking to a waitress who has worked at the one at Casino Royale for 17 years. She said that one is the busiest in the country and last week the line filled the inside and snaked well into the street. People were waiting 1.5 hours.
We went there at 9.30pm last night - good value but it was dead. Intend to go in for breakfast this morning before trying to find the MGM pool.
Currently waiting on a locksmith for our safe but using the time to pack.
We were in bed for 10.30 last night as we were both knackered but feel better for it this morning.0 -

SeptemberDavid, we must have just missed you by minutes. We left Denny's at 20 past 9. However I doubt we would have stayed out as neither of us was feeling great. I was feeling nauseous and only had soup and a little salad at Denny's.
Off to MAG for breakfast in a bit. We'll both probably have the steak and eggs and I have a $50 certificate to use up.
It's likely to be back to MAG for dinner as it's OH's birthday.
David, OH says not to split up at the pool as you will never find one another again!0 -
SeptemberHi guys,
Just an update from here since we have now stayed for 1 night in the WW.
We're waiting on the locksmith as front desk sent us up security again - even though I told them a locksmith was required as there was a mechanical fault with the safe - as per discussions last night with security.
I told security this when the arrived this morning but their arrogance took over - even though I was very polite!! The said they'd fix it - 5mins later they called a locksmith - when I asked how long it would take they said they didn't know but have a nice day
Anyway the room and the good points - very nice, modern, fresh and very easy to get from the strip via the side door and West Wing Bar.
The downside - simply the toilet / wash areas - the WC and shower are fine. They are side by side and both separated but panels and doors which is fine. The sink area is in our room. Very strange to say the least but this is so tight and a nightmare to try do anything.
The sink is so small, the mirror is big and has a small tv built in - looks good but why it's there who knows. There is a light in the mirror too but it is very dull - I struggled trying to shave last night. This area has very little storage space so toiletries are all over the place just now.
The bed, TV and storage for clothes is good however and the bed is nice and comfy.
Well that's it - if I was coming again for any more than 2 nights I'd choose another room but we got this at the last minute so we could extend our stay so can't complain too much.
EDIT: We're just back from the pool area - WOW - why we didn't check this out during our last day is beyond me - we had a great few hours down there just chilling and catching some sun :-)0 -

MissNobody wrote: »Hi guys, great thread, still trawling through it but getting there, found out some really useful stuff but need some advice please!
In the very early stages of planning a trip for one week next July, going with 2 friends - so 3 girls - other 2 have been before and stayed at Bellagio, will be my first time but with this thread I feel like I know Vegas a little already!!
Looking at flights first, we ideally need to fly from Manchester or Glasgow, have looked at the direct flight with Thomas Cook from Manchester and price is around 420-450 depending on dates and when I have searched!! Hotels - as I mentioned they stayed at the Bellagio last time so want somewhere different this time, they liked the look of the Venetian but we are flexible on this.
Does anyone have any experience of 3 in a room, is the 3rd bed always a pullout/ sofa type as I don't think any of us would be happy with that?
Or what is the type of room to go for? (or is 2 seperate rooms they way to go?)
When is the time to book the hotel - I now know from this thread to make a fall back booking but is about 2-3 months before going the time to look for better deals?
I am sure I will be back with more questions but hope you can help with these for now!!!
sooner you get the flights booked the better , prices will only rise nearer the date of departure as a rule . airlines release flights 11 months in advance so no point in waiting , get booking .
£350 -£400 is a pretty good price ( new air tax comes into force later this year meaning the days of £300 flights to Vegas are probably over )
if it were me i would bite US Airways hand off at £365 . or is going direct worth the extra £50 !! don't forget Thomas Cooks lousy weight allowance as well .
once the flight is booked : YOU ARE GOING , and can have fun finding a great hotel at a great price .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
SeptemberJust got back this afternoon, we had an amazing time as good as our trip last year. Saved some right money with all the vouchers and the passport things for the shopping outlets so thank you very much for all the advice! Not loving the fact that I have had to put the heating on seen as I have been use to the 90 - 100 deg heat the last 10 days! Will try and do a report over the next few days
Oh and anyone who's there now or going soon they have Ralph Lauren mens polo tops in Dillards (Fashion Show Mall) reduced down to $20 & $22 from $54 hubby bought loads of them right bargin!0 -
October , NovemberLooking forward to your TR. No pressure, but I go in two weeks.0

Not yet managed to find a price for July anywhere near as good as £365, Thomas Cook when adding baggage charges and meals(!!) comes to £467 and yes 20kg is a lousy baggage allowance and doesn't really allow for shopping whilst there!! Will try a bit more searching before giving up just yet.
Thanks.0
