SeptemberDavid re text about eating tonight. What about the new Hard Rock Cafe? We probably won't try it as there are no prices on their menu and I like to have an idea before I commit.
The original "Sam's Town" sign from the Killers' 2006 tour is on the wall there just as you go up the stairs.
Yes that sounds ok - we went in the other day for a wander and I took a pic of the sign. It's right next to us too so would be perfect but will see how Liz is later as she's a bit full still after her prime rib sandwich at Strat.
Hope I didn't wake you - wish OH all the best for tomorrow.0 -
December ( including Xmas and New Year )Looking in to 2010, is anyone thinking about staying at any of the City Center hotels? I've noticed Vdara has appeared on Expedia at not such a stupid price, and Aria's on there too now as well.
I've only been back from Vegas a week and I'm already thinking of my next trip (although we hadn't planned to go back until 2012!) so might take a look again in a few months for an April visit.
They will ensure the bargains at Wynn/Venetian etc will continue.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
SeptemberWe are hoping to stay at the Aria next May, but will hold off to see if there are any offers booking direct.0

December ( including Xmas and New Year )Can anyone shed some light as to what Vdara and Aria are going to be like? eg are they in the Venetian sector, or Bellagio, or Rio, or Signature? When do they open?illegitimi non carborundum0

SeptemberJust been to the new Denny's that opened a week ago opposite Monte Carlo. Nice place. Also checked out the new Hard Rock Cafe down there. Looked at the menu, but it didn't have prices and I'm always suspicious of anything without a price.
There was a right queue at dennys last week when i was there when it had just opened must have died down. I ate at Outback steakhouse which was quite nice and they have the nicest bread as welll.0 -

Aria looks top end from its website. "Most advanced guestroom technology in the world" http://www.arialasvegas.com/rooms-and-suites/deluxe.aspx
and http://www.vdara.com/amenities/sky-pool-lounge.aspx looks cool.0 -
Hi guys, great thread, still trawling through it but getting there, found out some really useful stuff but need some advice please!
In the very early stages of planning a trip for one week next July, going with 2 friends - so 3 girls - other 2 have been before and stayed at Bellagio, will be my first time but with this thread I feel like I know Vegas a little already!!
Looking at flights first, we ideally need to fly from Manchester or Glasgow, have looked at the direct flight with Thomas Cook from Manchester and price is around 420-450 depending on dates and when I have searched!! Is now the time to book flights or are we too early as some sites don't show dates after December yet??
Hotels - as I mentioned they stayed at the Bellagio last time so want somewhere different this time, they liked the look of the Venetian but we are flexible on this.
Does anyone have any experience of 3 in a room, is the 3rd bed always a pullout/ sofa type as I don't think any of us would be happy with that?
Or what is the type of room to go for? (or is 2 seperate rooms they way to go?)
When is the time to book the hotel - I now know from this thread to make a fall back booking but is about 2-3 months before going the time to look for better deals?
I am sure I will be back with more questions but hope you can help with these for now!!!0 -

We were at Denny's about 2pm and it was dead. Went back last night about 8 and it still wasn't that busy. I guess breakfast will be really busy.
Got talking to a waitress who has worked at the one at Casino Royale for 17 years. She said that one is the busiest in the country and last week the line filled the inside and snaked well into the street. People were waiting 1.5 hours.0 -
SeptemberMust have just been last wekkwhen it first opened, I would expect a dennys in that location to well but who knows.
The casino royale one is mental for queues, I only eat in there late night wehn its pretty empty.0
