the points will expire (fairly certain they have a 6month life but could well be 12months from when you last earnt points - it's on their website)... in essence that just means your points total will reset to 'zero'

the card will not expire tho, and you will be able to get your card re-issued but you won't get to 'sign up' as a new player again (so you can't get the freebies again basically)

they must take whatever details are on your passport --- or scan it (from when you sign up) to help identify you... as I moved house between my visits and despite giving them a different address, they still knew it was me straight away!

having said that, all that is from my own personal experience from the MGM card - i'm just assuming it is the same with Total Rewards as stuff like that seems to be pretty similar...

if you can dig out your old total rewards card, just take it cos sometimes it saves the hassle of having to queue up to get another one :)

I agree that it's probably worth a shot to try an old TR account just to see. Some accounts do expire but it's a bit of a mystery as to how long- I've joined Club Palms at least twice (and gotten the freebies each time). :)

For Total Rewards reward credits (the ones you use to buy stuff) do expire after 6 months if no further activity has been put on the card...tier credits (the ones that determine if you're gold/platinum/diamond) expire at the end of each calendar year.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

My parents have found that even though the credits have expired with TR they are still registered. They managed to get a discount as a TR member even though they hadn't been to Vegas for almost three years.

Other slot clubs have different rules, but it is worth checking them all out.

Hello from hot and sunny Vegas!

Just back from shopping at the Premium Outlets. Hubby did well, but I only got a couple of things. Great savings though. Lots of places have buy one get second items half price. I joined the VIP club online and got a 40% off coupon for Timberland which was only good for this weekend and expired today. Got $252 of stuff for $80.

Going to Casa di Amore tonight and getting picked up in the limo. I read that they have a new black limo now instead of the red one.

Tomorrow for me! Long time lurker/occasional poster; and my first visit to Vegas is upon us! To say the OH and I are excited is an understatement...

We've both been following this thread picking up tips and hints for our stay; although I daresay I'll forget most of it once I'm out there and will have to go back next year just to do the things we'll miss

I'll do a TR from a first-timer's point of view (my TRs tend to be very wordy so it might take a while!)

Hi all, 27 days to go here too. Quite nervous as I still can't walk very far and health still rubbish but determined to just go with the flow.:D

We've decided to not plan too much as I'm not sure how much I can do so I suppose show tickets will have to be bought on the day....not much chance of moneysaving but oh well.

We too have our old TR cards but didn't have anything online, think they expired. Dunno whether to get new ones for the freebies or stick with the old ones, we'll see.

I must admit to being really rubbish re organisation this time, last time we had so many coupons, vouchers, ideas, canyon/shows all booked and I 've done none of that yet.

I know food is going to be a big expense so really should get something sorted, at least a list of where places are.:o

Also...guess what....I won't/can't drink alcohol  so all those lovely cocktails are out the window **sob** due to medication but I'll live :D....just want to be there, that'll be enough for me.:j

With all the people about to go and all the ones just come back i'm feeling left out and extremely jealous....

Still, might be a good time to remind everybody about our Flickr page for Las Vegas photos, I like to drop in and remind myself of what i'm missing. If anybody wants to add photos of their own feel free to do so.

    Hi guys,

I woke up at 6am again - nightmare!!

Has anyone ever changed their flight home by a few days while in Vegas? We'd like to stay another couple of days but not really sure of cost.

I have a contact number for US Airways but just so I know before I call them what to expect.

Then, if price is reasonable I'd have to get accomdation for Wed/Thur night. At the Venetian right now so would I get any special offer as I'm already here or should I just check their website.

I know it's easier for me to call down & ask but any advice/tips would be appreciated.

We feel we still stuff to do, the weather is great & we both don't go backto work until Tuesday so adding extending our trip by 2 days seems logical but only if the cost isn;t silly.

    Ta much!
