ah a table for 4 will be fine, i've read posts recently with people trying to book reception dinners there with 20 and 28 people to accommodate:eek: Good luck with the wedding, hope you all have a great time.

thanks again. We are lokking forward to it. Only 3 weeks to go!!!
We are off to South Lake Tahoe 2 days later. Then San Fran for a few nights before back to Vegas. A fair few driving hours but worth it

thanks Claire. There will proberbly be just the 4 of us. An email enquiring might be worthwhile. But the idea of booking earlier than we want then requesting a patio table looks a good back up option

If you want to eat on the patio the reservation isn't necessary - you just turn up in advance of when you want to eat, get in the queue, they'll give you a buzzer which will go off when your table is ready and you can wander around while waiting. They only take reservations for the inside restaurant area...so if you don't want to eat inside there's no reason to book inside, unless you want it as a back-up if the wait for the patio is too long. :) Mostly we've had waits of 45 mins to 1 hour...and you can wander a bit through Paris - ask the host how far the buzzer goes.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

For mid-priced places I would throw Planet Dailies and teh Cortez Room into the mix. Also the 24 hour cafe at Paris. Most hotels have a 24 hour cafe.

The only fast food I've had in Vegas is a couple of Panda Expresses when I've been peckish at lunchtime.

Good idea to book MAG an hour before you hope to eat as an hour is the average waiting time for a table on the patio.

Last year I booked for 7pm hoping to eat at 8pm. We walked down from the Palazzo and left in plenty of time, so much so that we were there at 6pm and were seated on the patio immediately.

someone mentioned the Olive at the Belagio. Do they have the same system there?

Yes you can request a patio table when you arrive at Olives, but there is no buzzer system there so you have to keep checking back. What time are you planning on having dinner, if you go at opening time (5.30pm) you will get a patio table straight away but i appreciate that may not be possible.

Oh - and unless they've changed it the podium for the patio is on the left of the entrance - the one for the inside restaurant is on the right side of the entrance...just in case there are queues at both!

Since it's a special occasion, it may be that you can ask them if you can have as central a table as possible even if it's a bit longer wait. At least some of the tables that are dead centre against the railing are for 2 people only, but I think they expand out to 4 after the first few...but the more toward the centre you are the better the view. It's great from anywhere on the patio I think, but slightly better from the middle. :)

(deleted picture as gosh that was bigger than I expected!)

Sorry I meant to add, the Cortez Room at the Gold Coast. Lovely steaks and cheap wine. The steaks come with either salad or soup. We've had several good meals there and cheap compared to the strip.
