is there anywhere to eat decent food that isnt a la carte?
it seemed to me it was either fine dining or McDonalds/KFC/pizza Hut etc.
We lived off Subway. If it wasnt for them we wouldn't have seen a vegetable all week!
Where are the middle men?0 -

Plenty of Places, you have your Dennys and IHOPs, theres all the buffets, most of the hotels have cafes, or lower priced options.
There is prices in every price range and if you could only find subway to eat then you were not looking.0 -
AugustCan someone help me please? i am sure I read somewhere on here about Mon Ami Gabi at Paris but i would need to trawl through all 200+ pages to find it.
My Brother in law is getting married in Vegas and I would like to book a table at the restaurant overlooking the Bellagio fountains. I think I read that you cannot book a table outside. Is that correct?
Can anyone else think of anywhere else suitable for his wedding day dinner?
Thanks0 -

Totally agree - there are far more middle men than fine dining establishments...a bit surprised that someone who followed this thread for awhile would have had trouble finding the mid-range options as we do talk about food quite a lot here.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

There are plenty of in-between places in Vegas, i've never had fast food in Vegas (apart from PH at the airport:D). Some of my favourites are:
* Grand Luxe Cafe (Palazzo)
* Burger bar (MB)
* Mon Ami Gabi (very reasonably priced for lunch imo)
* California Pizza kitchen (Mirage)
* Carnegie Deli (Mirage)
* Zoozoocrackers (Wynn)
* Cafe Bellagio:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Normally you can't book the patio - it's first come, first served - but maybe for a special occasion they would make an exception? You could try to contact them.
I think the other one that's mentioned frequently is Olive's at Bellagio.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I looked at the flights again today & Continental are still higher than they were on Thursday but I noticed that US Airways seem to have good prices (£398) flying in & out of Glasgow which is a bonus.
I'm starting to lose patience with Expedia now.
At the end of last week I had the prices all sorted for flights : Glasgow - NY - Vegas - Edinburgh then they hiked the prices up whilst I was in the site.
Last night the same : Glasgow - Philly - Vegas - Glasgow. I had a decent price for 3nts in Bellagio or Wynn + flights the I was adding on the City & Show price for Palazzo -they stuck £20pp for flight & hotel so in all £80 jump in literally seconds.
Thought would've been back down today but nope - bummer!! I'd hate to book it in any case & the price comes down - this is a game of cat & mouse.
Anyway guys, just a thought if I do book book them later has anyone here stayed over in Philly? I was hoping to break up the travelling time with 2 or 3 nights before Vegas - if not Vegas it is for 7.
I tried to ask last night but the forum was down.

JulyI agree with ferf, contact them and maybe they can make an exception. Another thing to be aware of us is depending on the size of the wedding party they may not be able to accommodate you all on the patio. Olives does have a much better view of the fountains, but again you can't book a table on the patio and the patio itself is a lot smaller so there will be a much longer wait to dine outside.
You could just make a booking for MAG for about an hour earlier than you plan to eat. On arrival request patio seating, you will be given a buzzer and you can all go off and have a few drinks until your table is ready?:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

thanks Claire. There will proberbly be just the 4 of us. An email enquiring might be worthwhile. But the idea of booking earlier than we want then requesting a patio table looks a good back up option0 -
Julyah a table for 4 will be fine, i've read posts recently with people trying to book reception dinners there with 20 and 28 people to accommodate:eek: Good luck with the wedding, hope you all have a great time.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0
