Been a lurker on this (and the old) thread so hello all!

I'm thinking of going to Vegas next year with a group of about 6-8 and stumbled across vrbo . com. Seem to have some great prices for MGM Grand suites.

Has anyone here used that site before?

Was it MGM Grand Suites you were looking at or Signature at MGM?? I've not used VRBO before but did use Luxury Suites International for The Signature and got some good prices, here's the link. http://www.luxurysuitesintl.com/ They're doing deals on buy 3 nights and get 1 free at the moment.

    Hi Guys,

Quick question - US Airways or Continental?

I looked at the flights again today & Continental are still higher than they were on Thursday but I noticed that US Airways seem to have good prices (£398) flying in & out of Glasgow which is a bonus.

The only difference is the connection which is Philly rather than NY. Now I was hoping to stay 3 nights in NY but the hotel prices are silly & the deal I had my eye on has gone :o

    Thanks

PS - Luci - well done on getting those flights sorted out!!
Much of a muchness really. I used to fly over regularly from either BHX or MAN. The last half a dozen times I've flown US airways. PHL is a far better airport (IMHO) than EWR / JFK. Much quieter, cleaner, brighter...
Plus, US use an airbus with 2 aisles. Continental use a 757 from my local airports so only 1 aisle. Much more chance of getting a crappy seat on Continental..

I've just been looking on Kayak for Vegas flights for a quick 4 nights at the end of August and have found a few bargains at £374 (compared to July and mid-August £550+). Has anyone used a site called Terminal A? Are they okay, I've never heard of them before. The flight in question is mixed carrier - Air France and Delta - does this mean that if we miss the 2nd flight we're stuck? Is it safer to choose the AA flight for £406?

    Thanks, Lisa

Just had another thought, i have to have a wheelchair at airports, will using different carriers make this more complicated?
Delta and Air France are both Sky Team so I can't see any problems.

Be very careful who you book with at vrbo. There are some horror stories on Trip Advisor of people who booked what they thought was a great deal only for the owner never to reply to their emails when they started reading bad stuff about them.. When they tried to cancel they still got no reply and so lost their money.

David Sawnson is one name to beware of one topic HERE, another HERE and a search will reveal several more.

I booked the Signature with Luxury Suites and it was fine.

They sometimes do offers, but it's far too early for next year.

Welcome back everyone! I missed you while the forums were down.

I couldn't get this forum to open, even one they were back online. I only knew they were back as I had another forum open in another window.

This is what I was desperately trying to post last night when the forums were down. MON AMI GABI DINING CERTIFICATE

    It's a $50 dinining certificate for $25 + $3.75 shipping and handling. It's only good for breakfast between 7-11am.

One major problem is that they don't ship to the UK. However if you have friends or family in the US or Canada you can have it shipped there and have them send it to you.

Delta and Air France are both Sky Team so I can't see any problems.

    Thanks Neil,

I looked on the Delta site and there wasn't a problem with Air France, then found a Delta flight with slightly better times for the same date for £381 so I went for that one.

Has anyone used or heard of a flight and hotel site called Terminal A? The prices were very comptetitive but I can't find any info about them apart from it's Spanish.

Luci, thanks for the Mon Ami Gabi cert link. Will set about finding a way around the US only.

    Thanks everyone for your replies!

Was looking at Signature suites so will definitely look at the luxury suites website and I will avoid David Sawnson!

And thanks for the advice about waiting to book, i'm sure I can find some great last minute deals!!
