Whilst i have been supporting you through this thread, i have noticed your lack of attenion to detail. You have merely presumed you will be cheaper and have slagged off the coop for no reason. As it happens it takes 30 second to search your web site to find comet are the same price as john lewis which as i stated earleir was close to £50 more expensive than the Coop. This makes the coop cheaper and comet a rip off !!!!!

Apologies, I was a bit wound up , I didnt mean to say that, I meant to say that the co-op are generally more expensive than comet, I have nothing against the co-op except they seem to have an awful lot of elderley customers (who we al know have buckets of money) No problems today at work though not one screamer or dodgy customer.

Please explain. Maybe this quote should be posted on the silver savers board for comment.

Its to do with some sort of previlage reward scheme I think? My nan is the same, she only shops at the co-op for some reason, and just recently Ive noticed that the majority of big sales we do, the age seems to be around the retirment bracket, obviously the elderly are much better with cash than us youngsters

    I think you do.
Another thing about online purchasing, is that you can cancel your order at any time. Then, if the goods still arrive, they are classed as unsolicited. Then all you have to do is "make the goods available for uplift" and if they don't collect them/pay you to send them back within a "reasonable time", you can keep them at no cost.

I have no idea wheter a sent out cancelled order can be classed as unsolicited or not, but the law has changed on unsolicited goods, you have every right to retain the product it is your property and you cannot be charged for it..

Another thing needing to be clarified is when the "unsolicited" goods can be shown by the company to have been "ordered" but probably fraudulently.

I suspect if you paid Amazon for goods then cancelled the order then recieved them, and you told them the goods are unsolicited and I'm keeping them and you owe me a full refund, they would probably say "see you in court".

    Sorry, I wasn't clear!!

I meant, if you cancel the goods before you receive notification of their despatch, you can claim them as unsolicited.

That's good to hear. In most cases it is the store manager that ends up sorting things out:T

Can I just point out one thing that not all comet stores treat their customers badly, which store was this? Our store has a very good reputation with our local curries being known for being discount merchants.
