Yeah, well done chica. I'm pretty impressed at how upbeat you are! I imagine it actually makes it easier to find work.

I have heard back from that retail job I applied for. They have given me a conditional offer for the Christmas temp job. Well, the subject of the email is conditional offer; the email content itself seems very definite. But I guess they'll be checking references. Apparently I will hear more in the next few days. I'm a bit nervous about my references. Is anyone else paranoid that if they put too much information here the potential employer may read it and realise it's you?? Highly unlikely, but I'm still not going into detail, just hopeful that it comes together.

Well, I have some good news too - I got that job that I have been waiting on for months! I cant describe how relieved and happy I am. Thanks guys for all of your support - its been good to know that I have not been going through this alone :D

Had an interview for a Callcentre Job today. I have my fingers crossed and double crossed as always. I find out tomorrow.

My poor kitties have got 'visitors' eap! have had to rush out and buy some frontline and have spent about an hour itching and cleaning the house.

Medini: let us know how you get on.

One of my own irons is warming up a bit now and I'm hoping that it will be hot enough to iron a new shirt soon...

In the meantime, don't forget to do the cats bedding as well.

    Yours itchiily,

Thanks everyone - after having 2 job offers withdrawn because of the terrible (and extremely unfair) reference I got from my last job, I thought I would never find work, so I feel like the luckiest person in the world today - still cant take it in that this nightmare is over.

Sackcloth - yeah, it is the job I really wanted :D As for childline, I think its going to be really hard and so emotionally draining, but its worth it. I cant wait to get that ball rolling too :D

    What is everyone doing today?
  • Well done louise and lollypop!

Fingers and toes crossed for you medini and sackcloth that iron sounds promising!

I have had a quick scoot for jobs today and made a couple of applications this morning but decided to give myself some of the afternoon off to sit in the garden in the sunshine! Its lovely :) Hope you are enjoying it where you are.

Congratulations Louise, I have seen how much you have wanted this.

My job is great, although in the back of my mind I'm worrying I'm not doing a good job or that I'm making loads of mistakes, I know I'm not but I still worry.
