The glass collecting job is a great idea Bunnie, and the mystery shopping assignment too.

I think there is a lot of truth in the saying that it is easier to get a job when you are in a job, maybe it's a confidence thing. Even if the jobs are just a few hours a week, they start to make you think differently about yourself.

You are nolonger unemployed, but an entrepreneur, pursuing different avenues, spoilt for choice. My mystery shopping experience, helped me get that auditing job yesterday.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Funny thing is I hardly ever include mystery shopping on my CV, perhaps I should add it on there as have been doing it on and off for some years now. Any ideas of which section to add it in - career profile or hobbies and interests?

It would depend on the job you were applying for. But if you were wanting to pick up work in retail/merchandising/market research or to highlight observation and independent working skills to tight deadlines, I would put it in the main body.

I'm losing my cool at the moment and getting really nervous, I really want this job (second one)

I'm trying to think of the best way to calm down and the only thing that's jumping to mind is sit in a bath of essential oils.

I never get this nervous but I think after so many knock backs it would be nice to have a bit of good news.

Back from interviews, just gotta wait now. My agency are having problems getting hold of my references (they need 5 years worth) because most of the people they need to speak to are on holiday.....just hope this doesn't hold me back
