Hi Pickle, yes! She has helped me make sausage rolls

:rotfl:I'm not sure that sausage rolls and fairy cakes constutites a balanced diet, but it's one I'd sure be happy to follow! :rotfl:

(I know DD will know many more savoury recipies before she becomes an adult! ;))

  • Well, I could not believe it today. Half of my books were waiting to be collected in an area of normality where it was only raining/sleeting/trying to snow. The other half were in a winterwonderland of snow and slush, and ice, and grit and salt. Suffice to say by the time I collected dd from after school club I was done in. Had to leave 10 books altogether, the paths to the customers houses were simply too dangerous for me to walk down them mainly because they were situated on a slope. So, frustrating because I could see the books outside the front door, just didn't want to risk getting them and falling over at the same time. God knows when Ill be able to deliver the orders. Am just about to sort out the books I did collect. I know there are a fair few orders in there, just pray I can still deliver them later this week. Fortunately, all my big bills have gone out, my delivery thats due is for customers nearer to me, so I should be able to keep up to date with deliveries pending, therefore cashflow shouldn't be a problem. After the last batch of snow, I sold £1760 in 1 week, so I feel confident I could do the same again if I had to, just want to keep the money rolling in.

Looking at the positive, if worse comes to worse, and I can't get out again I will spend more ofmy time focusing on my team building. Just would rather the snow disappeared! As with everyone else, all I can do is go with the flow. At least I have a contingency plan. Where theres a will, theres a way, and I will carry on working hard at my business regardless.

Suzi, Ive sent off for an info pack on direct payments. Will let you know what I find out!

Wow, you still have snow? What area do you live in - I'm in Manchester and it had been gone for ages!

Sorry to hear about the problems getting to pick up the catalogues, but it does seem that things are otherwise going well. I hope the snow vamooshes quickly and that you can get those other catalogues. Honestly, I wish I could go and pick them up for you!

Best of luck, PaF: you are doing brilliantly! :D

Apparently not: something to do with lack of vegetables or something, but who needs minerals when you've got fairy magic?! As if the fairies would let anything happen to us!

You do make me smile Pickle. I have to agree, fairies are wonderful souls, they pay out money when dd loses a tooth, our home is full of fairy dust, always a wonderful reason to get out of housework, they are just the best thing ever!

Well, given the amount of cash I have spent lately, I wouldn't go that far (:o :(), but hopefully next month will be a better one than this one: I think the January Blues have been delayed this year!

BTW: I like the idea of fairy dust as an excuse to get out of doing the housework! ;)

  • Ok, no snow here yet. Its forecast for tom, but Im going to keep putting out my books as if its not coming back.

Feeling tired this am. Fell asleep last eve with the house in a mess, washing up to do etc, woke up at 2am, sorted it all out, and then went to bed. My walking today is a bit wobbly. The cold might have just got to me yesterday, but I will not be beaten. I just have to get on with it, and remember that it will ensure I am debt free v soon! Better get on earning, just popped home from taking dd to school to have a cuppa to warm up! Its so cold out there!

No wonder you feel tired! Are you one of those people who really can't stand a mess and therefore couldn't sleep as a result once you knew it was there? I think your sleep is more important under those circumstances. Try to get an early night tonight, and so what if the last of the washing up hasn't been cleared?!

Take care of yourself, PaF. If you fall over in the show and break a leg cos you were tired, you will be kicking yourself over your late-night washing up session! ;)
