    Hi Paf
I've been missing your regular updates lately! No wonder if you've been feeling so tired. What a lovely daughter you have. Well deserved too!
Time with your daughter is precious. I think you're so right to prioritize anything that gives you good times and memories. If swimming will keep you both fit and your friend is already a member and you can afford it then it's a very good thing! If it's very much more expensive than the ordinary pool that's probably offset by the equipment they have? I do think though that building up a small emergency pot of savings might be a good idea. And a week away sounds lovely too. Are you still in touch with the group that you've been away with before?

Congratulations on YOUR positive attitude, (I wonder where your dd gets it from lol) and the super charged sales, and the nearly finished cc. You are doing brilliantly and doing so well in achieving every thing you set out to.

    Hi P&F

Try getting a gym referral from your GP, as some are very good at seeing the cost/benefit. A healthier P&F will cost your surgery less. Also, see if your lovely daughter can be classed as your carer and get in free. I know a lady on another diary can go to her gym free as her DHs carer.

If none of that is possible, I'd still agree that it is a great investment in your health and in fun time with your daughter.

    Hugs

So sorry for not updating my diary in such a long time. Thank you for all your posts. I am well and in truth since my last post in March its all a bit of a blur as many developments have occured.

Adult Social Care, had the report about my meeting with them, some of the detail was incorrect so I filed a report back in addition to the one they filed to ensure it was accurate! One of the issues that came up was how dd's school had wanted me to try and get dd there for the breakfast club - apologies if I'm repeating m yself! - because of concerns with dd's progression in Maths which is the first lesson at school of which if we are late she misses about 5/10 minutes of. I explained to the school that as I found the ams difficult getting dd there for 8.45 how on earth was I supposed to get her there for 8.15am unless - as a friend suggested I took her down there in m y nightie? Well the lady from Adult Social Care detailed the school had wanted me to take dd down there in her nightie and I didn't want that on file as being correct. As it transpires, Maths is no longer the first lesson at school and at the parents eve shortly after my phone call with the school I wondered why they were making such a fuss. Dd is on track, set to be above in her writing, a whole level above in her reading and just 1 sublevel behind in her maths, set to be on target by the end of the year ready for year 6! Anyway, getting everything right there and speaking to Adult Social Care and Social Workers about it all has taken up time. I have taken receipt of some fabulous disability aids which are already proving a hit. And a Social Worker is coming round to review us, not to take dd away from me they have assured me of that or to tell me to stop working or to tell me I'm a dreadful parent so thats all a relief. Will see how that goes. I am now waiting to hear about a grant to update re the bathroom to make the bath area more accessible for me and safer re sliipping etc... I do get the feeling that the Occupational therapist who saw us from Adult Social Care is very supportive of our situation..

Meanwhile I have joined the health club with dd and we have been swimming 4 times this week. I can't begin to tell you what a difference it makes. It's thebest decision I've made in months, almost years! Dd and I feel so alive and better in ourselves and we are having fun again. We are laughing out loud. And I don't feel guilty. We have April free and then pay by monthly direct debit. I can go into the jacuzzi while dd is in the pool and I am sure the effect is helping. It hurts to swim but I'm perservering as I love swimming even if it is one armed but strangely I feel better for doing it!!!. I'm no stranger to pain and I just want to get on and see how I go. Once dd is back at school I intend to go to the gym once a week and see how I go there. I want to help myself and keep as fit as I can. I'm still seeing the physio too and I feel we are making progress. She would like me to use a walking stick more than I do but as i say to her how do I use my good hand for anything if I have a stick in it? Anyway, its something I've got to use more, she insists!!!Back to the health club yes I had found a health club that gives reduced rates for disabled people but the bizarre thing was the changing rooms for the gym were down some really steep stairs which I felt I could only go down on on my bum! So, I decided to go for ease and convenience and I have to say where we have joined is worth every single penny. If the day goes well today dd and I will be in the swimming pool later!

Other good news is that I have been accepted for an Asda credit card offering 12 months free interest!!! I've calculated it will save me in the region of £400 in interest payts over the next year. That effectively represents what I need to pay my accountant! Am so chuffed it will help me pay the debt off quicker!

Also a friend is selling her sons bike for £35 and now she knows I am looking to get dd a new bike well shes selling to me, virtually new, just the right size and dd is so excited about it. I was budgeting for £100 for a brand new one. So another essential this year crossed off the list.

With the joining up at a health club, dd and I will not book a holiday this year at present. I am focusing on building my Kleeneze team once dd is back at school, and keep my retail where it needs to be while finding time for the physio, social worker and myself going to the gym once a week!!!.And i feel very positive about the future despite other areas such as family issues still proving stressful. I do however have some relatives who are supportive of me and who do think I am doing v well working etc so thats reassuring just if I'm truthful I wish it was my parents who felt that way but they don't and thats that.
Back to focus on positive things and a good day ahead....I will be on here soon again!!!
My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T

Thanks for that PAF and I'm so glad that you're enjoying the swimming and having all that fun with your dd! Laughing is excellent. Well done on the 0% cc and the bike. Onwards and upwards indeed. It's great too that your dd is catching up with maths and ahead with the English. Good luck with the Kleenezee.
