  • Tax bill paid, Mortgage paid. £2.50 left in bank account! Food bill this week £19.38. Tight, tight, tight!!!!Thank god for Kl, could be so much worse without my dear business and with it things will only get better. For now though have sorted out my main extra outgoings this year that are pending. Car adaptation which needs to be confirmed but after looking into it myself I think it will be £275. Then dd's trip with school £189, dd needs a new bike, will check out ebay and local ads but worse case scenario £80 - 100. Computer, mine is on its last legs, working but erratic so say min £250 although I haven't looked into prices yet. Conclusion: I need to do more with my business to increase income and I am thinking more and more that this is the year to do that with dd being that bit older and the tax limit going up to £10K from £7.5K. Makes it more feasible to earn more without increasing tax bill too much. For me the main challenge is to increase my work asctivity to build my team and sales in such a way that I don't get over tired. I'm sure I could do it if I organise my time better and am more disciplined with my sleep patterns and how I utilise my relaxing time. So, it's a challenge I'm prepared to take on...The good news is that even with the min income I bring in with Kl, I am still able to over pay my debt repayments by £135 with £180 spare so potentially over £300 available. So these additional expenditures should be covered by that but I also want to pay more off my debt than £135 each month. I'm thinking once dd is 18 in 8 years, my widows pension stops, Child benefit too, and I just want to ensure I'm in thebest place poss to cope financially so that dd can move on into the world to follow her dreams and not be worrying about me... It's all going round my head, plans and figures!

For now, its on with ebay in a tick, then this afternoon dd and I are going swimming. Thats why I have just £2.50 left aswell because I will be spending £4.75 to go swimming, however I feel it is money well spent to exercise, and have fun and have good quality time together.. A busy week ahead with work, achieved £850 in sales last week and looking to exceed £1K this week....

Hi PAF. So glad everything is going well. February is tight for us too but I'm lucky to have savings as I'll need them to pay all the bills this month.
have you got a freecycle group near you? You might get a PC and a bike for free.

  • Hadn't thought of that Verbatim. Thanks. Will look in to that, its on my to do list!

Dd and I managed to go swimming last weekend. It was great to have such fun together, think I did too much judging how i felt a couple of days later but the plan is to go every other week in addition to the physio I am doing to reduce pain, build up my health and strength and over all wellbeing as well as have great times with dd!

So, whilst things are tight, there is also a lot to be positive about. Fantastic sales this week, £960,am really aiming to achieve a higher bonus in a couple of weeks than I need to to keep on top of things and even get ahead of myself! and my physio is really helping with the pain in my leg and I have a very dear friend who has just taken my ironing pile away to iron for me, so so kind. It will enable me to just think about our meal later and otherwise relax once i've got organised for the coming week. Also plan to pay £39 off the £189 req for dd's school trip this week and my adaption is def £275 to pay on 2nd April so plans are a foot to have that ready. Yes, we are doing ok...Onward and upward...

Take care out and about, especially if you have snow like we do here.
That's quite a bit of extra money to find. I love your confidence. GO PAF!!

  • Again lots to be positive about, however the path to this point has been a bit rocky re this tiredness that lurks ever ongoingly! I didn't quite achieve my higher bonus but its to go for this month! Sales are good, just a bit challenging as Im sure it is for most with it being half term and making sure dd is having some nice times as well. Have also done something to my funny foot, I've cut a toe and its painful when walking more than ever tho like everything it will pass!!! so perhaps it just as well Im keeping my business out and about to a minimum until dd back at school next Tuesday! All bills up to date, money beginning to accrue to pay for the car adaptation, still have the mortgage to pay next week. Have sold 3 things on ebay this week thus far and am in for the rest of the day so will be doing ebay for some of this afternoon. The lovely lovely news I have is the wonderful way friends are rallying around to help me as I am finding things difficult re tiredness at the mo. One friend is doing my ironing and helping with housework , another has given, yes given me some curtains which will be wonderful for my front door and landing window to keep the draft out. I have an appt tomorrow with Adult Social Care, I can only assume they are v short staffed as its taken some 6 calls or so to speak to someone re the grant to update my bathroom to include rails etc and a lady is coming tomorrow as the person I saw in November has left and again a friend is coming round to be there with me, make sure I am accessing all the help on offer. She seems to think I sahould qualify for more help. Other good news is that I have been advised that my DLA will not be reviewed until 2015. That has been really worrying me. Ive heard so many horror stories of people with disabilities who clearly need it and then have it taken away only for them to have to go through a stressful appeal procedure to get it reinstated and the thought of possibly having to do the same is more than I could bear right now but I can avoid it for at least 2 years so I can forget it for a while!!

There is a lot I still want to work on and improve but one of the things I've treated myself to is a book called Beach Money, how to achieve in business, and I am so excited just after reading the 1st chapter about what I can do to help myself and lay the groundwork for moving on from this point to build my business successfully.

So, will leave it there, all is well, will now get paperwork upstraight and ebay!!..

Good stuff, PaF! I'm glad that things are ticking along so well for you financially and it's nice that you not having the higher sales bonus is not adversly affecting you (although it would be nice, of course!).

As for your DLA, that's great as well! :D It's also nice to hear you are spending quality time with DD and I'm sorry about your foot, but it is wise to rest up at times like that and it seems that life is giving you the opportunity to do so, so take it and use it to get your energy levels back for the next mad burst of activity once DD is back at school!
