  • Well, have to say Beach Money, the book I mentioned last time is fantastic. Am really keen to pursue the team building side of my business and find people who want to earn extra money and whom I can help to do that. V exciting stuff and I feel great hope that I can do it and see it through as well as doing the retail I do, one day at a time, one step at a time. Adult Social Care came round a couple of weeks ago. V nice lady, she's positive I should qualify for help, a friend was here too so she prompted me and made sure everything was told to the lady. One thing I do and I know what my friends mean is keep saying I'm ok when I'm not for fear of being seen as a "failure" and old habits are hard to break. My friend would say now tell . how you really do x,y or z, say it as it really is. .... Still haven't heard anything following that appt, need to check with m y friend when I should check and make sure things are in hand. It was a very draining couple of hours and so a lot of what the lady said I've completely forgotten!!! Otherwise work is going well, have managed to have some lovely weekends with dd relaxing!!!and my dear best friend is helping me with my housework 2 hours on a Friday. Out of the goodness of her heart, so I can free up time to start building my business or have a chill out with dd on a Saturday instead of getting more tired trying to do chores that need doing.. I can't begin to tell you how I feel v blessed and loved and supported by friends and I hope I will be able to do something in return one day.. It is really helping me and dd. You know the programme The Secret Millionaire, when you seee recipients gobsmacked at someone being so generous to them? Well, thats how I feel, choked that my friend would want to help me in such a way, and believes in me. Such a kind woman, such a great friend..

So, thats the soppy bit. !Financially, have arranged to pay my mortgage a week late. Not ideal. Foolishly I paid more off my credit cards without fully appreciating where that left me with the shorter month in February and also bearing in mind I have my car adaptation to pay for in 4 weeks which will be £275. I have however managed to sell some items at auction which will generate £80 for the adaptation fund and so with what I have saved aswell I am well on the way to having the money for it. And I will be back paying my mortgage on time later this month, its just a "glitch", is that the expression? Well, anyway, I'm not unduly worried about it, I 'm certain I will be back on track and so thats me for now...
My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T
  • Well, back on track. Mortgage paid and absolutely no reason why I should get a week behind again. So, v confident all is well. Focus this month, car adaptation. Then dd's school residential trip, then accountant fees, then dd new bike. These last 3 to be sorted by end of May is my ideal target. Must check weather forcast, on friday snow was forcast for tomorrow! Happy Mothers Day to one and all. My dear dd has made me a beautiful card and bought me a box of Maltesers which between us we ate this am!!!

  • So, we have had snow last week, dd school was closed, then dd was given an award at school at the end of last week for having a positive attitude. So proud of her. At the weekend we both outlined our goals and dreams for 2013. Dd wanted to do that which I thought was quite sweet. She would like to go swimming more and have a week away. Have reviewed my finances, seem to be over the sticky patch from last month. Projecting up until 2nd April, all bills covered including mortgage inc adaptation and poss dd's school trip with the school happening later in the year. Kleeneze sales higher than usual at mo but then we have a fab new catalogue which seems to have captured my customers hearts!Anyway, am v tempted to join a health club with dd where we can go swimming in the afternoons at the weekend and where facilities for disabled are second to none. I could go once in the week as well. My physiotherapist is keen for me to keep as active as possible and in a strange way am hopeful that if we did join - still deciding - it might alleviate the tiredness that overtakes me. Awake one min, asleep the next, its why I'm home now, I've spent thelast hour resting before working for a couple of hours which I will do shortly. This last weekend I fell asleep both days during the day. It was all I could do to wash dd's school uniform, dd waited on me hand and foot with cups of tea and bananas on toast! I feel guilty but thats how it was. Anyway, the reason the health club has come up is that the local one has an offer going where you get a month free, my friend and her dd goes so we could go together swimming sometimes and my Natwest card will be paid off by the end of May freeing up £125, although I want to use this to go to another debt I am thinking I could use just some to keep myself and dd as fit as possible and have fun times together and feel good about ourselves in the process, perhaps it would help the strength in my funny leg and arm too I'm telling myself my heart is telling me I should say.My head on the other hand is saying no, put it all towards debt or your next accoujntant bill or dd's bike or start thinking about Christmas etc etc etc. Anyway, I haven't decided yet. Meanwhile, found a terrific offer at a Morrisons that opened up near here recently. Dd eats free between 4 and 7pm during the week, so for less than £7, we both had a lovely hot meal, pudding, drinks and dd had a second drink. All for less than £7. If dd hadn't had another drink it would have totalled barely £5.50. The same deal would be in excess of £20 at say Frankie and Bennies. And the childrens portion was larger. Would definately do it again on a night when I'm just too tired to cook...Thats something else we are doing you see, we have decided to have 1 meal out a month, possibly 2, and the price at Morrisons makes that v doable without wildly effecting my budgeting.

So, thats where I'm at. Take care!Onward and upward....
