Well, thank you for that! My head is unable to get through the door!!!
Well, having had my confidence restored in Halifax, it all diminished today! I have been charged twice this month - I was expecting just one charge - once for my old account, and the second time in relation to the new account that was supposed to save me £20 a month in charges. I queried the charges today and it transpires I was missold the account. What I was advised is not going to happen and so my account has been transferred back to the way it was and my charges have been refunded plus I have received £10 compensation. Moral of the story? Just don't trust Halifax!!! It does change my plan for repaying my debts. My od facility was always last on the list because regardless of the amount Im od it is always £1 a day. However, Halifax will be putting their charges up to £2 a day from Nov for the use of an overdraft if over £2K. My od is £2500 and I do use it so instead of prioritising my Natwest debt, I will be prioritising my od to get it below £2K. I'm still confident that I will do that, get my barclaycard below £2600, and repay my Natwest card by the end of the year. They are my short term goals financially.
Otherwise, all is well. Sales still good. Sold another £450 so far this week. Sold 3 things on ebay and am managing to build a fund for Xmas. On the family front, dd and I are attending a big family birthday do this weekend. We will see my parents there, but there will also be family from all over the world, relatives from Canada, France and Australia as far as I am aware so I am hoping I will get lost in the crowd!! I just find it ever so difficult to know what to say to them - my parents. I'm best keeping myself to myself, focusing on dd and my business and our future and keeping my life private so as to avoid any negativity. Mum has dropped dd home a couple of times she has had dd after school, and has said hi, has commented on the garden looking nice or whatever Ive said thank you and goodbye. It's almost as if she wants to pretend everythings normal which shes entitled to do, but for me everything has changed and thats the way it is. I've learnt valuable lessons in the importance of respecting, encouraging and supporting my dd. I would never want to damage her self confidence or destroy her dreams. I tell dd, darling you can be whatever you want to be. Enjoy dreaming of what you want your life to be like - at the mo she wants to have a sanctuary for horses with broken legs bless her....
So, up and away. Lovely weather here this afternoon. ...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

So life here ticking along. My monthly outgoing calculations are based on me earning a minimum sum from Kl and this month I exceeded that. I feel in a good place at the moment. Dd breaks up from school a week today and I have organised next week so I have the thursday and friday off from work in the main, maybe just an hour here or there and then the following two weeks childcare is covered and paid for. That initself is a big change. Ok there are 4 more weeks to plan for but to have two of them sorted and paid for is just fab. Will plan the subsequent weeks nearer the time. Sales for the first half of this week have exceeded my target albeit by £20!Have sold £520 in 3 days so really pleased. A great start to the new 4 week period. I will be able to pay an additional £275 off my debt this month and thats the minimum, it could be more and I have been able to treat dd and I to a table and chairs for the garden half price from m and s of all places. Their sale on line made them cheaper than b and q and Homebase. The plan is to enjoy the garden more in the school hols and eat al fresco and read together and watch the birds and the sun set etc - we have seen the sun here! and also I have got myself some new boots for the winter, £75 reduced to £37. I do seem to need new boots annually. My funny leg, my ankle doesn't sit into my foot normally and so the boot can change shape and wear out more so than normal, I need v supportive boots. Not the end of the world of course but its good to be able to buy these now ready for the winter and I will only need to budget for dd's new school shoes for the new school year come end of Aug/Sept. So, am v pleased with that. Feeling v encouraged. The project dd and I have for the summer hols is to paint the garden fence weather permitting and I have allowed the cost of that into my budget. Otherwise all going smoothly and to plan. My plan is to exceed my sales this month and achieve a higher bonus and pay even more off the debt before dd returns to school and hopefully afford a few extra days out here and there. Anyone heard George Michaels new single clearly inspired by his recent health scare. Just keep breathing are some of the lyrics. I smile and say, yes Lou just keep going, keep going for it, its starting to work out, keep going! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
