Well done PAF. You ARE doing SO well. The birmingham trip sounds exciting! Will you take your dd?
Hi, no dd is staying at my brothers. I'm taking her there tom eve and then having a take away with my friend whose coming withme to Birmingham. Then on sat am we are off and away, my friend is driving, we go to the Kl conference, I receive my recognition/award on stage at the NI A, we then go to hotel and in eve attend a drinks do with the Directors of the Co followed by a dinner and dance which forms part of the award. I will be interested to know how many disabled distributors will have achieved the award too and will utilise the opportunity to push forward what I feel is a need of more awareness given disability is hardly ever faced at trainings etc, and my point would be unless the voice of the disabled person is heard how are other disabled people ever to know they could make it work and see that it is possible. Anyway, I'll stop there as its a cause dear to my heart and I could rant away!It would be topical with the ParaOlympics underway. I'm sure there will be many many stories of overcoming adversity against the odds! My friend and I come home on Sunday and I collect dd in the afternoon.
So, I spent £70 yesterday, dd's shoes, new underwear and socks for her, new school shirts and trousers but its all done and all is well. My snowball plan is starting from October properly since I have managed to secure a professional deorator for a reasonable price to paint the front ofmy home and surround of front door. It will be another short term goal ticked off my list and a job that wont need doing for another 10 years or so so I am v excited about that. And if Xmas sales go to plan I may beable to keep up with a large part of my snowball plan anyway.
Things with my mum have once again come to a head. Mum texted me to say how sad she is that she hasn't seen dd this summer hols and what must dd think etc. I replied pointing out that there have been 49 days dd has been off and mum has only been free for 3 of them. The situation has been that on the 3 in question it has been inconvenient for dd and me and thats just as its been. I'm not sitting here querying and holding mum to account why on the other 46 days she hasn't been free to see dd and so I just feel its another situation mum wants to blame me for and is cross with me for not fitting in with her. She forgets its a two way thing or should be. It's doing my head in. Something I am struggling with but I can not stop is dd seeing Granny. Icouldn't do that to dd when dd loves seeing her but the letter incident to dd worries me that mum would think nothing of "using" dd and so I worry about how my relationship with dd could be damaged, but equally I know I could damage my relationship with dd if I stop all contact. Whatever I do has to be right for dd.
Anyway, I've not heard back from mum and so I am assuming I am in the dog house! I woud love to tell her about my award but they would not be pleased or anything. At the last conversation about me working mum suggested charity work which is very honorable but just not me and you can hear the sigh when I say no. I'll shut up there. It's all very depressing, even more so when it's mum who holds me accountable for everything. She blames me for it all. I've apologised for saying how low I've felt but she has only apologised for saying I give dd a dreadful life and I have a dreadful life on the basis she doesn't know if our lives are still dreadful! The rest of her critisims she will not apologise for, so the most upsetting one for me is that she agrees with dad that I make an industry from my dh murder because I mention his name sometimes.Very upsetting. yes, I'll stop talking about it.
So, onward and upward...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Enjoy your awards ceremony to the max cos you have worked very hard under difficult circumstances and TOTALLY deserve it! :T
Remeber: you can only fly as high as you will let yourself - lots of people believe that they are worth less than they are and adjust their ambitions accordingly, when we should all be trying to overachieve in the hope that we come out as though we were on par with our abilities at the worst, and surprise ourselves at best. Just cos your mum aims lower than your worth doesn't mean that you have to: GO FOR IT! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

Well, I am back and my friend and I had a great time as did my dear dd staying at my brothers. My sister in law said they would love to have dd to stay again! She and my brother are coming over for a meal in 3 weeks to say thank you to them.
The award ceremony was good. There were 400 of us who had qualified, thats 2.5% of distributors in the Company. As far as I could tell I was the only disabled single mum who had qualified. I have a certificate to frame and a crystal ornament with my details engraved on it. The dinner and dance was fab. Fantastic band played after we had eaten before the "disco" started. Absolutely fantastic. Saw a number of people I hadn't seen for a long time which was nice. My friend took it all in her stride and seemed to enjoy the whole thing. We came home after brekkie at the hotel on Sunday and back to normal. There are a number of things I want to implement in my business. The greatest development from my perspective is that Kl are offering a service where anyone in this country can order from my website online and the goods will be delivered to them by the company, not me, this means I still get the commission but I can advise friends and family from over the place of my website, not just friends etc who live within say a 20 mile radius of me and I don't have to worry about getting the delivery to them. Also, I want to develop my facebook page and my dear friend who accompanied me to the award at the weekend is really into social media so when I saw her yesterday she told me she had researched it all, she was certainly asking questions to other distributors at the dinner and dance about it in order to help me the best way and when dd goes back to school tomorrow we are going to get together to get it all sorted. It would help me to get it all set up to advance my business and team. Also, parties are clearly another avenue for me and my dear friend - the same one - will have dd for me to enable me to do this. So, what a dear dear friend she is!! Lots to sort out and implement but all very doable, it will all increase my turnover and in turn my earning potential which equals greater snowballing of debt and debtfreeness earlier than planned!
On the finances side, things ticking along. Plan to pay min payts these next two months on credit card debts. Pay for the render on my home to be painted and focus on reducing my od with the Halifax by £500 by 2nd November. Also focus on putting away the odd £1 or two into my Christmas jar and focus on getting the sales in to achieve higher bonuses. Already selling well from the Christmas catalogue and I just need to work my retail plan to get the results Im looking for. Do my best.
Last day today before dd returns to school. We are seeing my cousin today whose dd is starting school tomorrow too, shes only 4 still so we will be both looking to get our respective dd's sorted in good time for school tom. Sun shining and off to get sorted for the day..My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
